Made a spa appointment for my birthday in December, I was surprisingly disappointed at the level of service and my spa experience. I honestly don't write reviews but the massage was mediocre, the space was very small and the service was definitely not the Ritz service you would expect; they completely forgot to add the hot stone add on that was part of the appointment and didn't even acknowledge my birthday (why ask what I'm celebrating when I made the appointment if you're not even going to acknowledge on the day of service). To add to the fun or not so fun birthday spa event, the valet scratched my new car that was less than 5 days old and never told me about it, once discovered (two days later), the valet company (Colonial Parking) which is contracted out by Ritz wouldn't take responsibility since the vehicle was removed from the facility without reporting any incident to their attention. Tell me who checks their vehicle each time you valet? There is a level of honesty you expect from the company to report to you if they damage your car but trust me that didnât take place. I know for a fact the damage took place under their possession because that was the ONLY time anyone else drove my new car and the car was parked (damage was not the kind of damage that would happen while a car is parked) after getting home since my work is walking distance from my place of resident. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to the spa nor allowing my car to be driven by colonial...
Read moreTerrible experience- donât waste your time or money. The facility is extremely small- a maximum capacity of 3 people- there is no privacy as you try and undress nor any place to get ready after your treatment. Not much they can do about that but this is the Ritz and there shouldnât have been dirty towels and used robes overflowing in the bins. The massage was subpar. The therapist did not work on the areas I requested and when I reminded her, did a quick 5 min focus at the end. They also ran out of bottled water. When we checked out, the gal never asked how our experience was. All she wanted to know was what form of payment to use. Turns out the receptionist was actually the spa manager. We did share our poor experience but she just stared at us and said nothing. She did of course add a 20% gratuity to the bill. I followed up later with the hotel manager but he didnât seem concerned either. This was a girls day out to celebrate a friendâs birthday and it was so disappointing. Definitely the first and last time I will go to the Ritz spa. Wait until the Four Seasons and the Salamander have completed their renovations for a far better experience with excellent customer service. Save your money on the spa and go upstairs to the lounge with the fireplace where the wait staff was outstanding and the...

Mary Anne was fantastic! She found all the knots in my shoulders and got them out. My massage was very soothing and relaxing, which is just what I wanted.
When I passed the first security door, I was assaulted by a very strong scent. It was the smell of hay(?) or maybe horse feed-- a distinct smell that evoked memories of petting zoos and my aunt's farm. (The main lobby of the hotel smells like lingering cigarette smoke, so I'm not sure if no staff member ever recovered their sense of smell back from COVID or are all lifetime smokers, but if you're sensitive to smells, this place may not be the one for you).
I had an overnight and laptop bags with me, and the receptionist was strangely determined that all my stuff would fit in a single locker and insisted I try just to prove it. But it was an odd and frustrating moment to experience in this upscale of a place, especially...
