To keep teenagers away from this building (as if they'd even hang out in the financial district anyway), the brilliant owners of this building (Tishman Speyer) put up Mosquito Speakers. They constantly emit obnoxiously loud sounds that are (supposedly) outside the range of frequencies hearable by adults, except they're not. These screeches are completely audible to adults and sound worse than nails on chalkboards, and sound even more ear-piercing to children. Read moreThis place is awesome! Whether you want breakfast or lunch, this place offers a variety of restaurants to choose from. LA Cafe located on the premises is so far my favorite. I also tried a couple of other restaurants (one was serving Chinese food and the other regular breakfast). You'll find plenty of space, chairs and tables, where you can sit and chat with your friends or co-workers during your meal time. Like the indian lady with her delicious (and fiery) curries or the original Burrito Bros or the cuban place now run by an iranian. Also available is a deli, a chinese, and a pizza place.
