I come here frequently and have held off on leaving a review until now. There have been some issues in the past, but I have tried to be understanding and forgiving. I made an appointment weeks ago for a fill today with Pink. I come in today on time for my appointment and am told Pink is not here, and can I wait for Tony to do my nails? I agree thinking it will be a cpl of minutes, and I go to the bathroom. While in the bathroom Iām called by Jenny, the business owner, and told it will be 30+ minutes until Tony arrives. Honestly, I should have left then. When I came out of the bathroom, Tiffany offered to take off my acrylic in order to get things started until Tony arrives. While doing this, another customer arrived for her noon appointment with Jenny who is also not here. So now Pink, Tony, and Jenny are not here. Tiffany asked the customer to wait 40 minutes, then Jenny called and spoke to this customer as well. At this point, the polish has been filed off of 4 of my nails. A walk in comes in to have her nails done and Tiffany leaves me to do this womanās nails. I donāt begrudge this other customer having her nails done, but really?? The person Iām booked with isnāt here. The business owner isnāt here. Tiffany gets me started, then leaves me minutes into the process to take care of someone else. Since I am waiting 30+ minutes for my appointment to start (even though I booked ahead and was on time) then why couldnāt this walk in customer have waited for a few minutes until at the very least, all 10 of my nails had been filed, instead of just 4?? I canāt very well leave now with 4 nails filed, even though I am thoroughly frustrated. When I expressed this frustration, Tiffany was very defensive saying that I had agreed to wait. And sheās right, I did agree to wait because she was at least getting me started. But now sheās not even helping me. I am one of two customers who made an appointment at noon that is not being seen on time, and not because the salon is running late, but because the employees arenāt even present. What is the point of making an appointment at all if this is the result? Apparently, Pink no longer works here. Jenny should have gone through Pinkās appointment calendar and made arrangements for her customers instead of waiting until I was at the salon to call me. Itās just so disrespectful of her customers time and shows a lack of planning and leadership. Very disheartening. Iām sad to even be writing this because I like this salon a lot, itās very clean and relaxing and Iām always happy with my service (except the one time I had Tiffany do my nails; big mistake), but this is just no way to do business. I donāt want to leave this place because as I said, thereās a lot to like here and Jenny and Tony are very sweet people. I guess Iāll just have to wait and see what happens when they get here.
Update! Itās several hours later. Jenny and Tony arrived roughly 25 minutes after my appointment time. They were very kind and gracious, I said theyāre sweet people! Tony took a lot of time on my service and made sure I was happy. He then took a percentage off of the price. Jenny also reached out this afternoon after I got home and apologized again. Iāll stay with this salon for now, as I said itās very clean and relaxing. Just know that when going to this salon, youāll be happy with your nails, but appointment times may or may not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTotally ruined my nails. My previous nail tech from other place would also file my nails with a drill to remove the builder gel and never made my nails thinner. But today, a lady here called Mac, had no clue how to remove the builder gel on my nails. She brought a bowl of acetone! Can you imagine, a bowl of acetone?! And she covered my hands with a towel while making me dip my entire hands into it. I kept removing the towel to ask her if itās acetone. She kept putting the towel back onto my hands as if she doesnāt want anyone to see that itās acetone. So I asked the manager to file my nails, not acetone cuz itād ruin my nails. And she kept filing my cuticles until they hurt and the drill kept rubbing against my finger tips. So, another guy who is a bit more experienced stepped in to remove my builder gel manicure, but still he filed my nails harshly and was rushing. My nails are now left rough and brittle. I donāt agree with him that all builder gels will leave your nails thinner. If the nail tech files my nail gently with patience, it wouldnāt make my nails thinner. And Iām not even sure if the nail techs have Russian manicure license/certificates. No gloves used so, zero for hygiene. Iām sure their equipment arenāt cleaned after every client. The guy who helped me later also had fungus on his fingers and still no gloves. (Iām sorry if this sounds harsh, but hope it improves your service). I really regret going to this place! They shouldnāt even be charging me for this kind of service. If you have no idea on how to remove different kinds of manicure, why keep hiring nail techs like these? š¤·š»āāļø I have never written a lengthy review like this to any services before but Iām writing this to inform people out there! And theyāre doing Russian Manicure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis salon is a block away from my office. All of the staff is very nice and friendly. Last week marked my 4th and last time going to Jadore. The first time I went I had to go back in a couple days because my nails looked so bad. The second time I wanted to try something different, so I asked to have my brows tinted and eyelash extensions. After about 40 minutes I was told the tint on my brows wasn't taking, so no charge. Approximately 30 mins after that, they told me my eyelashes were too short, so they were having a difficult time getting them on. In the end, I paid for services rendered but when I got back to my office and got a good look at what they'd done I almost cried. I called them, they refunded my money. The third time I tried nails again and I got Laylee. She was good, so I called to schedule an appointment with her again, but when I arrived on time, she had just started on someone else so I left. Last week, I made an appointment with Laylee again for my nails. When I got there she was working on someone else. Because my nails were about 3 weeks old, I asked for someone else. These are my nails after 6 days. Zoom in for a good look. I went to the salon this evening after work and the gentleman I spoke to told me my nails looked fine. If this is acceptable to the salon, I really don't need to spend my money there. I was using them for backup when I couldn't get to my regular tech near my home because they are convenient to my job, even though they cost more, but I can't continue to give away my money for...
