Great service in an efficient matter. I received phone in 10 minutes!! Very happy!!!
Update: This review was done right after I received my phone and I was told I’d be given a discount if I did a review, in which I did. I fixed my screen and was happy it was done in a short time. However, a few days later, the screen would glitch. I would fey touching it and nothing would happen at times in addition to it glitching. I paid for the most expensive screen replacement and thought I was getting a great screen. Either way, my schedule at that time didn’t allow for me to go back and replace it. Then, my screen went back again one day. I went back because I was told if it happens again, as long as it’s not physical or water damage, they’d repair it for free. When I went back, Em told me it was physical damage because my battery caused the problem so I’d have to pay for a new battery along with an extra $10 fee to repair. I paid for the battery, $89 plus the $10 because I had to repair the screen. Lo and behold, the battery takes over 24 hrs to charge and my phone gets very hot, even when not in use. I went back before I started my shift to have them replace my battery because I was given a faulty one and the store was closed. It was after 10 am so I called. He told me he would be there in 10 minutes, so I waited. My shift started at 11 and I was in a bit of a rush. Em didn’t get there until about 10:15 and still had to set up by putting the signs and everything outside. He didn’t apologize for being late, but whatever, I just wanted him to replace my battery as quickly as possible. He told me he needed my password. I asked him why, and he said he’d have to do a diagnostic on the phone. I was very reluctant to give him my password and said I’ll just wait here and whenever you need my password for my phone, I’ll just type it in. He seemed a bit upset but said it’ll take him about 15-20 min to replace the battery. It didn’t take hat long before but I told him I have to get to work and won’t have enough time. Told him I’ll be back after the New Year. During this time, not only is my phone very hot and the battery isn’t charging when I paid for a brand new battery a few weeks ago, but my screen is acting up once again. The screen is glitching and shaking, making it not clear while trying to use it. Went back a 3rd time and Em now tells me the glitching of the screen is because I have to get the latest update on my iPhone. Never apologizing once again for the many times I’m being inconvenienced and having to return for something that should’ve been done right the first time. I asked what does updating my phone have to do with the screen shaking. He blames IPhone for this issue and started to get loud with me as if my question was invalid. I told him, never mind, as I have to get back to work and told him he’s not explaining why I have to get an update. He’s holding my phone and I asked for my phone back, which he didn’t want to give back. Not sure why he thought he could hold onto my phone and was concerned as to what he wanted to do, so I yanked the phone out of his hand and walked out. Em proceeds to follow me out of the store and is extremely disrespectful and intimidating by yelling at me in the street. I felt disrespected and humiliated as pedestrians are looking and staring. I told him I refuse to allow the disrespect and left. I will never deal with them again as I didn’t feel safe and respected as a woman and a woman of color. I feel I would’ve been dealt with differently if the color of my skin was different or if I was a man. Save your...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to retract my review. It was fast and easy because faulty material was placed on my phone- due to non-apple screen parts the phone had a gap between the screen- creating an outlet for condensation. Within a week, it appeared that my phone was melting, and eventually the entire screen was destroyed. I took it back to apple and was forced to purchased a new phone entirely. I tried to contact the vendor requesting a refund and they instead said I had to mail it back to repair despite me being across the country and needing a phone. I was then told it was my fault for choosing the subpar screen (which I was unaware was an option nor should the vendor be selling something known to damage a phone. They should pay for repairs or replacement outside the screen because this has been a $800 mistake now, but at the very least credit back what I paid. I have now had to dispute and report to credit cards. Avoid a costly mistake, go...
Read moreThese guys are the best repair shop in DC! My experience was 10/10, and I highly recommend MrFix to everyone. I brought my MacBook to the Apple Store, and they weren’t able to fix it. Instead, they offered me a replacement for $1,000. I decided to take it to MrFix, and they repaired it for half the price Apple was asking. Not only that, but they were able to save all my data, which Apple told me was impossible.
I’m amazed that Apple couldn’t fix their own devices, but these guys from Russia and Ukraine did it with ease. I’m writing this review because I want people like me to avoid the same mistake of always trusting big-name brands like Apple. From now on, I’ll trust third-party repair shops first, and Apple will be my last resort. It feels like Apple is just a sales company now, always trying to sell you something instead of actually fixing...
