I was having issues with the wrong mail being in my box (address for across the street) Also my mail was being damaged by water b/c this person refuses to close the lid to my box. I have had to cash checks that were SOAKED. This has been happening for MONTHS. Also they would put random pieces of mail inside random pages of junk mail. I'd have to go through every page. That seems like they have a lot of time in their hands, call me crazy, yet they can't close a lid.
At first I wrote (after this happened many times) an email complaint online. The post office will "contact you in 1 to 2 business days" (yeah, right) Prior to this when I did my change of address, the other post office, never did mine correctly, only did my husband's, got my address wrong, claimed they had corrected it yet I call four months later and lo and behold my name is still on the old PO BOX. Tah-dah! They were trying to blame it on this new office which to that point I had never had a problem with, but after that, all this other stuff happened. So anyway, weeks go by, no answer, same crap, box open, mail soaking wet... I write another email and nothing again. Weeks go by, I write another but this time, I send another email to this address which apparently oversees my local office (I guess this is a district office and you have the option to contact them) so I wrote them too. Again, contact within 1 or 2 business days, still waiting weeks later. I write my post office AGAIN. Nada.
Today I call the number for the post master, finally after a long hold, I get a nice gentleman who informs me that every single complaint got put as "solved" and "customer contacted" by the supervisor of my local office. Nice job. And nice job to these idiots here for responding as district managers. I hope all of them lose their jobs and end up jobless like 50% of Americans who actually WANT to work and can't get a job and these guys get a job b/c they know someone with pull. Even if I was doing a job for free, I wouldn't be such a disgrace. I've gone out of my way for customers over much less and have been super apologetic when the companies I've worked for screwed up. He gave me a different case number and said that if I don't get contacted, to call Consumer Affairs, which I hear never returns calls by other reviewers and now I come here and see all the 1 star complaints. So I guess this will never be solved b/c no one cares and they obviously retaliate when people say the slightest thing. I had been noticing that my neighbors' lids to their boxes are closed and mine is wide open all the time. Maybe I should get a cop to stand outside my door.
These people all need to be fired. I'm happy they're hiring third parties now. I was all for the post office remaining part of the government and not losing their jobs b/c I feel that privatizing everything is wrong. Nope. I was wrong. Good luck in the unemployment line. Hope your unemployment checks don't come soaked or get stolen b/c your box remains open to the side of a major road. Hope no one ever answers your complaints and you rot waiting. It's been four months of this nonsense. I'm nice to a point. I'm over this crap! My husband has cancer, I don't have time to deal with this but I need my checks not to be soaked and damaged! Isn't damaging mail a...
Read moreI am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at the USPS office located at 900 Brentwood St NE on September 5, 2024 at approximately 3:00 PM. While the initial employee I encountered greeted me kindly and directed me to the fingerprinting services, my experience with the woman in charge of that section was highly unprofessional and deeply disappointing.
From the beginning, her demeanor was rude and unfriendly. Despite this, I remained calm and polite. When she instructed me to sign the paperwork, I began doing so, only for her to abruptly snatch the clipboard from my hand. I found this behavior particularly troubling, as others before me had filled out the same paperwork without issue. Itâs important to note that I am a young adult, and this altercation left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.
This is not the first time Iâve encountered this individualâs unprofessional behavior. Several years ago, she was similarly disrespectful to my mother when we visited for passport services. Her attitude has clearly not improved over time, and it is disheartening that such behavior continues unchecked.
I strongly believe that customer service should reflect respect and professionalism, especially in an industry that interacts with the public. I regret to say that I will not be returning to this location and would advise others to avoid it due to the unprofessionalism and lack of respect shown to paying customers. I have had far better experiences at other locations, such as Georgetown, where customers are treated with the courtesy they deserve.
I hope this matter is addressed promptly, and I recommend reconsidering this employeeâs suitability...
Read moreI don't mean to disrespect the entire staff at this location but the service was terrible... Here the facts. It is mind blowing that with all the technology available now a days the delivery man was unable to locate a house (after multiple trias). A suggestion to the delivery man, USE GOOGLE Maps, a great tool that would come in handy for your work. The staff at the pick up window in the USPS Center were late. The attendant available at that time provided minimum information regarding the status of our inquery and assumed a defensive position not assuming responsibility on the current situation. Shouldn't he assumed assume responsibility for the inefficiency of USPS service? After one hour of un fruitful results and having discuss with the supervisor we finally got somebody of the team stepping forward and providing as much information as possible. Supervisor adviced that further research needed to be done regarding the tracking of the package with the delivery man and she would get in touch with us later. It is three days later and still no answer from the staff. I believe USPS could improve the quality of its service by providing close attention to customers that take part of their time too go in person in order to get the job done which they are unable to fulfill... And the attitude of the staff should be more diligent towards Serving their customers in finding solutions. I hope this helps in order to improve the current...
