I’ve had some problems with this store that I’ll mention in a minute. My husband usually drops off my rings for inspections and cleanings, but the times that I have gone in, I haven’t felt comfortable the way Abbeygayle made me feel. She was so calm and patient and an absolute sweetheart. The jeweler, for some reason keeps erasing my engraving on my ring every time it has been sent in and she is the only employee that has made me feel valid about it and like she truly cares. I had some questions about a wedding band I’m looking into and she was patient and answered all my questions even though we made it clear we weren’t purchasing that day. We customized my first ring at a different location and now I’m so excited to customize my wedding band with Abbeygayle. The girls in the store are nice, but nobody compares to Abbey, she really is a gem!!
As for the jeweler, you guys really have to find somebody new. Every time I send my ring in something happens to it. My ring got sent in one time and they didn’t even put the diamond in so it got sent back. Then they put the diamond in, resized it when it didn’t need resizing (the way they smelted the metal on the band looked horrendous) and erased my engraving. When they resized it they took some diamonds off which was not in the notes and very upsetting. We didn’t even notice until he brought it home and I tried to put on the ring and it didn’t fit and I told my husband no this isn’t right I think they resized my ring. Recently my ring got sent in and abbey specifically put notes to not resize it or erase the engraving and boom the engraving was erased. I have no idea what’s going on but every time my ring has to get sent in I dread it, but the store itself is great. I really hope Kay’s will look into it, no woman should feel nervous to send her ring off to...
Read moreI brought my ring to Kay to be repaired because my husband had purchased the insurance. I was told that there would be no charge. However, after my ring was shipped out to be repaired, I received a phone call stating 2 of the stones were damaged and the cost would be $660. Rather than pay this amount I chose to get my ring returned. In addition, when I brought my ring in and when I was contacted about the cost, I was told that I could “upgrade my ring”. I explained that I was not interested in a new ring. This is my wedding ring. My original ring is obviously sentimental. I felt as though the salespeople were more interested in upselling than taking care of what I wanted.
I took it to a local jewelry repair store and he said the diamonds were not damaged. He fixed my ring within 3 hours and it looks brand new. The cost was $175. The local jeweler will be my go to...
Read moreCame into the store on January 11 to get a previous ring clean. While waiting my boyfriend and I looked around the store. District manager was there at the time who was assisting us. He introduced us to Abbey to help us look at engagement rings. Abbey asked me if I had any rings I like more than others. I told her I love pear shape rings. Fell in love with my first option of ring. Abbey mention to keep an open mind, and try others to make sure the one I love was indeed the ONE. Try a few others but wasn’t really my liking. Abbey pulled out another pear shape ring. Before I even tried it on. I knew that was the one. When I got to try the last ring. It had all the details I wanted on a ring. The diamond itself spoke for me. It was the perfect ring!! Abbey thank you so much for listening to my likes and dislikes on a ring. Made the whole experience...
