Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Waxahachie

This Marble Slab Creamery is nothing like the other locations. They would be out of business if they were because no one would come there because of being ripped off and treated like you were a problem instead of a customer. They have some of the best ice cream wherever you are. For this reason they are usually overcrowded but the staff is usually friendly and gets everyone through as quickly as possible. The price is high but for the quality and quantity it's usually worth it. However at this location they cheat you on the amount of ice cream you get. If you order a bowl with the cone inside instead of the cone coming all the way down to the bottom of the bowl as it does at other locations it'll only come down about an inch so you get very little ice cream as others have said. I've been to many locations and love their ice cream but will never go back to this location. Stay away from this location unless you want to be treated like you are causing problems instead of a paying customer and want to be ripped off by bait and switch from them giving you one thing but charging you for something different. When you order a regular size bowl lift up the cone and you will see it doesn't go down to the bottom. Everyone who's having these same problems needs to complain to the Corporate Office so changes are made because this location is truly giving them a bad name. Was really disappointed. Find a cold stone creamery... or just go to sonic right down the street and get a cheap blast. For 2 large scoops in a dipped cone and 2 smalls in dipped cones our bill was MORE than our dinner tonight at a restaurant....36$!!! The "cool mint" flavor is barely flavored at all with mint and the tiny chocolate chips tasted like old powdery chocolate. The ice cream was way too soft, also. The flavor just isn't there and there's a lack of quality for the toppings. I would have much preferred chocolate chunks. I was also disappointed that I was asked if I wanted to tip. This is not a restaurant, hair salon, massage parlor, or any place delivering a service beyond their designated job description. I mean the girls are nice and patient, but there were 4 napkins in the whole place. That's it. None of the napkin holders were stocked. That's a basic job requirement that's not being done, but I'm being asked if I want to leave a tip. I'm in the service industry. Most people in the service industry bust their butts to earn their tips... and if they don't... you tip accordingly. It really infuriates me when places like this want to try to guilt people into paying extra... for NOTHING extra....especially when the price of 4 ice creams was higher than a dinner for 4 at a nearby pizza joint. I called in a bday cake order on 5/27. The owner only requires a 24 hour advance notice, so I gave double that. I called 2 times to ensure that the specific cake would be ordered and both times it was confirmed that it would be ready. I showed up today on 5/29 and they have no idea where my cake was. Turns out the cake wasn’t created. The owner was not apologetic and basically didn’t care that they messed up. He tried to offer different options and even said “I can have it ready tomorrow” which was pretty dumb to suggest because the bday party is today 5/29. I was charged full price for a different cake (which was nothing like what I ordered). Since moving here, I have always purchased my cakes at Marble Slab Creamery but this will be the last time. From now on, I will be going to Costco or Coldstone...
