I am writing this review to bring attention to the appalling level of disrespect and unprofessionalism my mother experienced at this Zara location.
My mother, who has a disability, cannot try on clothing in the store. She purchases items, tries them on at home with my assistance and returns what doesn’t fit, a completely reasonable process especially when items are unworn, tags intact, and with receipt in hand. My mother obliged by all of Zara exchange policies.
When she attempted to return a piece of clothing, she was met with shocking rudeness by an employee named Diana. Instead of handling the matter discreetly, Diana loudly claimed the item “smelled like food” and even went as far as to call another employee over in front of my mother to “smell” it as if she were putting her on trial. This was humiliating, unnecessary, and deeply disrespectful.
When my mother requested a manager, Diana snapped back that she was the manager and arrogantly told her “My name is Diana and you can make whatever report about me that you’d like.” The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service is unacceptable — especially for a global brand like Zara.
To be clear: the item was unworn, in original condition, with tags and receipt. My mother’s return was fully valid and should have been processed without being demeaned. The behavior she endured was discriminatory, dismissive, and completely out of line.
I am demanding this incident be escalated to corporate immediately. I expect a direct response from Zara management, not from the employee in question and I will not hesitate to share this experience further if ignored. No customer, let alone one with a disability and language barrier, should ever be...
Read moreHorrible customer service. At 8:10 pm on Wednesday October 4th I went to the watch section, I started to look on my own until I found what I wanted and no body approached me. At 8:30 I approached the sales lady and said “excuse me, I know what I want already” she ignored me and walked away, after going around the counter as I repeatedly tried to get her attention; she turned around and said “I am busy I can’t help you” I told her I understood an i would wait for her by the male watch section while she finished with her costumer. Rudly she turned and said: “ no, I can’t help you, I am the only one here and I am putting the tickets on the watch” once again I told her I could wait for her a couple minutes or she could call a coworker, i just needed her to take it out of the window so I could pay for it. She said “ I can help you in 15 minutes” I looked at my watch and said “thanks I think that should be enough time for me to go to Macy’s and buy it threre” and...
Read moreI am very disgusted with this store. I went upstairs to home goods section and just on us a family of 4 come up the escalator. We sat down on the couch and in 5 seconds Valerie came up and told us we can’t hang out. I immediately reacted and told the associate we weren’t “hanging out” we were testing the couches. Later a so call manager Yesenia approach us. While approaching I put my hand out to introduce myself and she was kinda he distant but indeed shook my hand. She mention that we were young kids. Which I feel flabbergasted but we are all in our 30s and my friend was with here 13 year old son. Later yessena mention they only help people who are going to purchase. I felt discriminated by the way I was dressed.. I am sorry that I just came out of work. I was under dressed but I’m sorry I was just coming out of work. I work as a longshoreman sorry for coming in dirty. She didn’t resolve anything. And later on mention she will report it to...
