BEWARE!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION unless you are looking to be harassed and accused of stealing merchandise. This location exhibited a total lack of customer service specifically towards me and my best friend. We visited the Jared’s location on Bay Area Blvd in Webster, TX on August 24, 2024 at 5:40 p.m. (Please note, I have exact time stamps as I was using my phone to document every moment with pictures and videos because this was supposed to be a special occasion for my best friend/future bride.) We pulled on the door handle but it was locked. We knocked and attempted to make eye contact with the staff. A female employee with blonde hair and large eye glasses nonchalantly motioned us to “hold on” before unlocking the door. She was not helping any customers at the time. The employee finally unlocked the door at 5:43p.m. Upon entry, no salespeople greeted us. Several employees made eye contact (even stared at us, absent of a smile) as they proceeded to walk past us over and over. Another blonde woman wearing a black top and gray plaid pants was in close proximity to us, constantly watching us for several minutes without greeting or even smiling at us. During this ten minute period of waiting to simply be acknowledged, other customers entered the store and were IMMEDIATELY greeted warmly by a salesman in a tan suit. He offered the other customers water as he walked with them to assist with their shopping. This same salesman locked eyes with us previously but avoided helping us. At 5:53 p.m. I asked my friend if she would like me to drive us to the Texas City location so we could be greeted and assisted. A salesperson to the right of us named Megan came over and introduced herself after hearing my question. I proceed to tell Megan we came in to look at engagement rings. I let her know this day was very special to us. My best friend let Megan know she was ONLY interested in pear shaped and square rings. She tried on a total of 6 rings (5 square engagement rings, one pear shaped engagement ring with a wedding band) between 5:53-6:00 p.m. and I took pictures of EACH ring as she tried them on. At 6:00 p.m. I took a picture of the pear shaped ring and item number. My friend gave the pear shaped ring and band back to Megan and asked if she could try a different square ring from the next showcase over. Megan is seen in the background of this photo taken at 6:00 p.m. holding a ROUND ring between her thumb and index finger, and a second ring was on her upper middle finger. Megan’s demeanor quickly changed and she stated there was a ring missing and she could not allow my friend to try on another ring. She accused my friend of not returning the last ring she tried. Megan NEVER scoped the perimeter to even attempt to find the “missing” ring. She instead insisted one of us must have the ring and she refused to continue helping us until the ring was “returned.” I showed Megan the ring was already returned as I pointed to it in the showcase. I showed her the picture of the very last ring my friend tried on (pear shaped with wedding band) and asked her to refer to the item number to confirm it was the same ring. Megan never confirmed the item number even though I asked her to reference it as well as the picture. Instead, she rudely insisted I was wrong and angrily repeated “that’s NOT it! I held my phone to show Megan the one picture but Megan took it upon herself to touch my phone screen and scroll through several pictures in my camera roll without my permission. Megan asked the managers Kailey and Gwen to come over. She told the managers there was a ring missing and she could not allow my friend to try on another ring until one of us returns the missing ring. Kailey was appalled at Megan suggesting we stole the ring. Megan randomly said she will no longer assist us and Kailey would take over in her place. Read moreLENGTHY REVEIW I purchased an item online to be shipped here, in between the wait time, I no longer needed the item, but it was too late to cancel since it was already being shipped. I understood, but needed my funds returned, so I went through my bank & explained the situation. My bank gave me the funds back & I figured “all is well.” The item was shipped to the store 03/01/2024 & since I had already gotten my money back & didn’t need the item, I never picked up the item. On 03/20/2024, Jared customer service emailed me stating since the item had not been picked up, the item was going on the floor for others to purchase (obviously don’t care, I didn’t need the item). Out of nowhere, I see that the funds were taken back out of my account ON APRIL 11, 2024?? I call my bank to see what’s going on & they inform that JARED provided them “PROOF OF PICK UP ON 03/01/2024” so they were forced to reverse the transaction. I send over my proof to my bank that JARED CUSTOMER SERVICE emailed me literally stating in the first sentence “We’re sorry you couldn’t stop in to pick up your order”… ON THE 20TH OF MARCH. I call this location & speak to Gwen (the GM of this location) & she states it “was an error in their system”… I’m not sure how submitting “proof of pick up” to A BANK can be an error? Anyways, she states she’s going to get with their customer service team to refund me the amount (this was Saturday 04/13/2024). At this point, I don’t trust this location, so I also call my bank to inform them of the conversation I had with Gwen. It’s 04/18/2024 & Gwen has not updated me on my refund nor have I received it, so my bank will likely have to open a claim to give me my funds back. I will absolutely not be returning to this location or any other Jared location for that matter. I’d give 0 stars if doable because this whole situation is very...
Read moreMy husband and I have been shopping here for years, he made the first purchase form this store not too long after this location opened. Fast forward to the last several years and we have come to know most of the staff at this store, so it’s no surprise that when we are in the mood to just look at a new piece to add to our collection we reach out to the store. Over the past few years we have gotten to know Gwen, Kailey, and thier staff, it truly feels like family and they keep us in mind and take care of us. We have been invited to several shows at the store over the years and we knew a show was approaching, we expressed our desire to potentially add to our collection; Kailey asked us what we were looking for; she reached out to her vendor and made sure they brought several options for us to view even loose stones. We set our appointment up and we were greeted with a smile, a few hours after looking over everything we left with three new additions to our collection. Please hear me when I say, if you’re at this store and you don’t see what you are looking for; don’t hesitate to communicate that to the staff! I rarely hear the word no from them, they move mountains if they need for their customers and make the impossible happen if they are able. For over year, we’re worked together on a ring for our collection and we didn’t think for a long time, Gwen and her staff was able to make it happen for a milestone celebration this year. A heartfelt and sincere THAK YOU to...
