Picked up some yellow tail that had a slight tint of green. Smelled disgusting and called the attendant over. They took it back but they never bothered to get the other plate of the same colored yellow tail. God bless whoever took it.

I also ordered a beef and rice (I was put off from any fish after the yellow tail) it was served in a box, all I got was laughable slivers of meet with 60% or more of it being just fat. The white rice was over cooked to the point it resembled chunky pudding.

Their soda machine must be broken, I’ve never ordered flat and odd tasting coke before. I felt like everything at this place went wrong.

The hosts there dressed like they couldn’t care less, they just threw on their uniform.

The containers that the food was served in were all dirty and sticky. But this could be due to the fact that the cooks in the back probably don’t switch gloves and cross contaminated the dishware.

Overall this place sucked, their promotions didn’t match what they served, they had spyxfamily ice cream advertised but it wasn’t available to order.

Overall just a lazy establishing, lazy managers hiring lazy workers. I’ve gotten better service at gas stations than what can be provided here.

The sad thing is that this is next to Ohayo sushi, which we overheard the other patrons mention that it was tons better than Kura.

They are right, don’t bother stoping here. Go to Samurai down the block. They have sushi happy hour and have better quality.

Don’t come here if you want good sushi. This is a lazy American imitation of what plenty of other authentic family owned restaurants have. Go somewhere else, you have...

Have been to different Kura locations in the past, so when I heard there was one here in Webster I was excited to try it out! Unfortunately the customer service and overall experience was not on par with the previously tried locations. The customer service was nearly nonexistent. I understand the way the restaurant is set up is to be more of a hands-off vibe, were you pretty much just use the tablet and sushi bar to get all your food or drinks. But when actually needing some help from the staff there is a “call” button on the screen to get assistance. During our visit we needed some additional utensils for my mother who was struggling to learn how to use chop sticks. We had asked if we could just get one fork for her and about 10 minutes later no one had come back. So we pressed the call button again and waited for someone to help us. Once they arrived we told them again if we could get a fork and so we got one this time. Next was the drink situation. After finishing your drink there is no one to ask if you would like a refill, now you can order another one from the tablet and will be delivered to you via a robot, but that is gonna cost you again for the same drink. Tables were a bit dirty, had some rice and sauce on the table and plate slot still. The sushi overall was good but not the best I’ve had for a minimum of 3.25 per plate. But really it was the lack of customer service that kinda ruined my excitement of returning...

By far the very worst sushi conveyor place I’ve been to. I don’t know how this chain has numerous locations. While the server was amazing with service. The server bot was not and chose not to deliver my drink after 10 minutes. Terrible. I had request a human in the form of the host Ben to graciously bring me one. The food was mush. There was no Crunchyrolls to speak of or a tasty tuna salad with sesame ponzu dressing. Also, the ordering menu could’ve been lowered by a foot and a half because I was having to do aerobics at the restaurant and then I almost smacked my guest because I’m trying to reach for the menu delivery tablet thing. That was the worst set up ever ever ever ever. It was pretty cool the concept of having the food being delivered like an Amtrak conveyor belt and the announcement of the tablet announcing food was arriving. The decor was all anime related, anyone who loves anime will like this place for that if nothing else. The bathroom featured a bidet set up and when I went to go use it it didn’t work so that was disappointing.

The only thing that I truly like there was the soup, but how hard is it to warm up udon noodles and salty broth which is why I only tipped a dollar sadly.

Will definitely not be coming back here. I enjoyed the company of my friends and the server...

I came here on the 2nd day of their soft opening. There was a bit of a wait as soon as they just opened due to the popularity and the long-awaited anticipation of this location. Luckily, there was a tablet where you could add yourself to the wait list and receive a text message when your next in line as well as 2 sets of benches outside. The service was great and there were plenty of helpful staff. Seeing the robot going around to give you your drinks was pretty cute. I got all the sushi that I was familiar with and wanted to try. I did avoid the crispy rice set because I know those are just okay. The seafood were quite fresh and clean. I don't think any of them had a bad odor. I tried 1 beef plate and it was alright. My favorite is the spider hand roll! I could tell that spider crab was newly fried. I quickly gobbled that thing right up. There was a bit of a technical issue when I placed my order on the pad that gets sent to the kitchen for a food item. It somehow said I received it but i waited a good 20 minutes to realize there was an error. I had to reorder and waited about 10 minutes this time when it finally arrived. Regarding the price, $3.20 per plate was not enough to fill me up. I love that they kept the Japanese greeting when you walk in and leave.

For those who want short version: IF you’re a sushi lover, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. Oh- you’re one of those who likes details, I see! Ok- my 10-year old daughter (sushi lover) and I came for the 1st time. Yes, it was for the excitement of a “revolving sushi bar”. While I’d had my reservations, I took her anyhow. Food temperature (at best) was room temperature (I can see you sushi snobs already shaking your head in disappointment- and you should be!). For a Wednesday 6p time slot, we found lots of empty plates on the conveyor belt. Service was to be expected. You have a young guy/girl showing you how to order, explains how a robot will bring your drink, and that’s pretty much it. You honestly can’t expect much from the waitstaff, because I’m not sure that’s what they really ARE. Bottom line is this, when my 10-year old apologizes for the turnout, I think that says enough. As the old adage goes, “you never know unless you try”. Well, we tried. We’re done- not coming back. And if I could give a prediction, I’d say this will be one of those places you pass by in 3-years going, “hey, where’d that sushi place go?”…not that you were looking to go again, just….because it used to be there. Good luck, Kura.

I’ll start with the staff, their attitude was very “weird”. Every time I pressed my call button for a server they came to me super late after I pressed my button and came to me with an attitude of “what could you possibly need”. I wouldn’t think it would be a problem to come help patrons especially since this isn’t really a server to table sort of place. The food, this is definitely the place to go for nigiri lovers.. that is all. The sushi rice was awful and kept falling apart, their fried rice tasted old, and their miso soup was absolutely disgusting. Their soda was flat, all three times. There’s a sushi place behind this location, called Ohayo, they have better tasting food, more options of food, and it all you can eat, I still pay less at that place than I did at Kura. The waitresses that were at the front were being extremely vulgar, talking about their private life (which is okay, but keep it g rated), and were extremely loud about it too. I will not be returning I did not enjoy my experience here.
