I am going to start this review off positive. For years I've shopped at James Avery and loved getting new charms. My bracelet has two charms on every link. Getting these charms from family members and close friends had always been a joy for me. As I have grown up other things besides jewelry became more important. For Mother’s day I asked my mom what she would like for Mother’s day of course she and most mom’s say they do not want anything, after I kept asking her what she would want she told me a James Avery charm bracelet. As a child she always bought myself charms and never decided to get herself one. Today I work in healthcare, in every healthcare environment every employee is told they are apart of the team. Everyone makes a difference in someone's healthcare journey. Today I spent $500 at James avery when I asked of there was a healthcare discount, I was told it is for registered nurses and doctors. When the James Avery website states healthcare workers NOT registered nurses or doctors… seems like false advertisement to me. To add to the fact of when Victoria the assistant store manager told myself this her attitude was rude like oh you are not a nurse or a doctor, so you are not good enough. When I work just along side of nurses and doctors every shift I work and are there for everything I can help them or the patients on my floor. When there is a natural disaster I also have to stay at the hospital along with sharing a room with doctors and nurses. This is supposed to be a company about religion, then you do not help the people who help others, worked through a covid pandemic, went to work with covid during a pandemic because there was not enough employees to help, someone who works in healthcare and values taking care of other people. It is just a shame to see how far this company has gone downhill. Maybe James Avery will update their website to say discount for registered nurses and doctors only before someone starts a class action lawsuit for false advertisement as...
Read moreDue to losing a large amount of weight after chemo and become disabled my wedding ring started slipping off my finger and it’s not an easily re-sized set. So in the meantime I wanted something simple yet special to wear until we figure out how to repair/ reset my original wedding ring. So after a grueling day of seeing multiple specialists we stopped in at James Avery…this particular location as it’s been our go-location prior to relocating/ downsizing after selling our home due to said illness. Even though I had an idea of what I wanted, I wasn’t completely set on a ring and this is where Liliana and Anabella enter in and I’d like to take a moment to make sure they’re recognized so if you’re looking for a Faith based gift for yourself or another…please go see them at this location. They will take care of you! They took their time to listen to my lifestyle, my taste, my personality including whether or not I’d be likely to use the ring long term or not. This matters as jewelry is and should be considered an investment. These are high quality representatives whom are representing a craft started by James Avery and not every person or jewelry does this. More often than not you’ll find someone just looking to close the sale” and “one and done” rather than considering the human behind the dollar carefully considering relationships for lifelong business. I was also able to choose another charm that day for my charm bracelet as well because for my birthday recently I’d wanted the “Runners” charm for the Bible scripture but it’s been retired. After they listened they suggested the “Running Horse” because a Horse is able to run into any battle with their eyes shielded and that’s often what I must tell myself “Look only at Jesus” and in this is how I’m able to run my race well. This charm bracelet is very precious to me as it represents many memories but also overcoming many challenges which for both I’m thankful to God. So thank you once again Liliana and Anabella!...
Read moreI called ahead to check on wait time for soldering 3 charms, and was very pleased to find out it could be done within one day. Store personnel were unable to find the JA stamp on one retired charm and would not check with Kerrville Customer Support to verify its authenticity. As a consequence, that charm was refused the customary solder to attach it to my bracelet. I left to call the Kerrville corporate office, and spoke with a lovely Customer Support agent, who researched the item and verified it on the phone. She apologized for the result at the store, but told me the stores solder at their discretion, but offered that I could send it directly to them to have it done. When I went back into the store, I relayed the message, and was told it would be 5-10 working days for turnaround. Being without my bracelet, was exactly what I had hoped to avoid. Instead of allowing this store to send it off, I chose to reclaim it and make other arrangements. I have since contacted another store, explained my issue, and was told it would be no problem, as they would be happy to contact Kerrville on my behalf to verify authenticity, if needed. This latter type of customer service, is why I choose to purchase from James Avery. I think the new Webster storefront is lovely, but the...
