So let me start by saying that the breakfast was nice the rooms are wonderful. It's really not a bad hotel. HOWEVER, and this is the part where they only get two stars. They charged my card (or held) money for three nights as oppose to the two that I requested. When I approached management with this I was told this is a pre authorization charge and it will be refunded once I check out. However NOTHING in their policy states this. It does state that a 13 to 15 percent charge will be added to my bill to cover incidentals. But even then 13 to 15 of a 71 dollar night stay isn't 71 dollars. This is something that should be stated clearly and upfront. Most hotels may charge you a deposit to which I completely understand if that has to be refunded in a few days. Additionally most hotels would not charge you for incidentals upfront, they take your card information and at check out let you know hey you will be charged for the following items. But this is something different. All in all, I would not recommend this place if you don't have extra cash for them to just hold your money. I don't care if it comes back in one or two day (in this instance probably longer because it's Friday and a holiday is coming up Monday) it's not right and not clearly shared with their customers.
UPDATE seriously don't stay here management is not right. I checked in for a two day stay she now claims I extended my stay to excuse the extra change and then I had to give them my banking info so I can get the money refunded faster. This was all not fair to me the customer. And more to the fact MONIC Pena has a nasty attitude the entire time never have consideration for me the customer. There a lots of hotels here in Webster. And I've stayed at them all mostly but do not stay here. I'm really disappointed.
UPDATE SAME DAY LATER TIME MONIC Pena failed to send documentation to my bank as of 2:30pm. This all started at 3am and I was told she would contact the bank by 930am. Call the customer service rep again for resolution.
Update She was too busy at the time to speak with the Best Western Rep. No resolution so far. Again they are holding my money. Keep that in mind before you book with them.
Update No resolution and not phone call at the close of day one.
UPDATE DAY TWO One of the charges drafted the other two are still pending. When I spoke to the bank they said the merchant can have a pending charge "pend" for as little as two days to as long as a month. Best western corporate line was no help either. They only speak to MONICA PENA but can not make her do anything. Please for the sake of a hard working class gentleman do not book here. Clearly Mrs Pena doesn't think anything of her guest and their financial situations. Additionally I found out she has a habit of firing workers and has a high turn over rate. She's apparently about money not customer satisfaction. I will continue to update this.
Update 3 Happy Easter of course with this being Sunday nothing is open so still not resolution.
Update 4 Second change posted yesterday. A change still holding Mrs Pena has yet to fax anything to my bank nor has she contacted me. Please avoid this place. She's clearly has no concern for working class people.
Lady Update The hold was dropped by my bank. It was timed out. MONIC PENA is lazy and didn't keep up her end. Bottom line...

May 2024 we planned to stay the weekend with our baseball team, we booked Friday and Saturday, ended up arriving at around 3:30AM Saturday morning. We were dead tired, walked in the room and noticed how TINY the space was. Felt like a scared straight jail cell tour. With not many options we figured oh well it’s late we are tired let’s knock out. We woke up early the next morning to play our games, we were one of 2 families who had a Friday check in and our family plus the other family noticed we were both complaining of itchiness and bites (didn’t think anything of it at the time). We played we ate and we all made it back to the hotel as a team at around 8:30pm finally. This was our first time really paying attention to the room condition in detail. We pulled back the covers to notice a spider crawling in the bed, the restroom was so tight in space that they had to carve out a chuck of the door just so the door would be able to close AROUND the toilet (not making this up). Fixtures such as the shower spout and door handle was coming off separated from the wall. Noticed there was what we assume to be pee all over the wall left by previous guests. Other teammates families had similar issues and they let the front desk person know what they experienced and the front desk person said “if yall don’t like it yall can leave”. No apology no nothing! She complained about everyone letting her know about these conditions in front of other guests that were coming in and some that were checking in. She said lobby is closed go to your room or leave, all families promptly checked out of the hotel and moved to another hotel right after this. On top of this as we were packing to leave my kids hair was wet so we turned on the blow dryer to dry it and the blow dryer was heavily smoking and about to catch on fire!!!! As we were heading out I stopped in the common area restroom only to find it leaking from the ceiling and the ground flooded!! Pics and video of all of this will be attached. Horrible stay horrible customer service. We stay as MAAAANY hotels as a travel baseball team all around Texas, frequently in Houston and also around other states. This is the absolute worst experience in all our years. How this hotel is tied to any major brand is beyond me. If i had paid $50-60 a night i would be think “ok you get what you pay for” but even those places wouldn’t be THIS BAD! Our rate was $120+ a night which is on par with way nicer hotels we have stayed at specifically in the NASA Webster area but hey were all booked for tema blocks so we didn’t have many choices when booking ahead. Run run run, save yourself the agony and...
Read moreStayed here Friday, June 17. The room was disgusting and was not cleaned well at all. Linen on both beds were stained. On one bed the linen even had rips and tears & clearly needed to be thrown away. The nightstand in between the beds was filthy including the phone. It was obvious that the floors had not been vacuumed. They also need a deep cleaning. Room 111. Immediately after checking in and inspecting the room I returned to the front desk. I requested clean linen & showed the front desk clerk the photos. She was very apologetic and asked for the room number. I didn't catch her name but she was wearing a hijab. No one should have to change their own linen for services being paid for. Not to mention, the room should have been clean from the beginning. At $100/night, it is definitely not worth it. This hotel should DEFINITELY not be including in the Best Western brand. There are motels that are in better condition & much cleaner than what I experienced. We should have asked for another room, but it was late & we were already exhausted from the long drive. I honestly don't think we would've have received a better room. Once I showed photos to the front desk clerk she should've suggested another room. The beds were extremely hard. My friend referred to them as "Flintstones" beds they were just that hard. Glad I only booked 1 night! Especially, since the website states no refunds or cancelations. I SEE WHY!!!!!
The only positive is that the ac was cold & the water pressure in the shower was good. The water did flow out the tub & didn't back up like most hotels. Breakfast was the usual: waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, mini muffins, etc. The waffles were good. The waffle iron on the left sticks even if you spray it prior to use. The eggs were very wet & disgusting & the sausage patties were not cooked all the way. Had to microwave them.
Overall, if you need somewhere to stay & can afford it, go around the corner to Fairfield Inn. For about $30 more you'll receive a much better quality stay. The rooms here definitely should not be $100/night. More like...
