I went here for the first time because okii poke was closed and will never return. I was there at 8:10 PM August 15, The place closes at 9. When I got there all the chairs were on the tables, basically everything shut down including the refrigerator to keep the RAW fish cold. I worked in fast food I know you have to thaw out the fridge area to clean it up, I get it they were trying to go home but you’re feeding raw fish to people and turned off the cooler God knows how long prior to the 45 minutes before close when I got there. I took my order to go, when I got home I ate some of it before I realized my fish was not cold.. I couldn’t finish it and had to toss it.. unfortunately I did eat some of it so my stomach started hurting a couple hours after, being that I hadn’t eaten anything else since noon I think it’s safe to assume the poke did it. Aside from that the young lady that served my bowl was kind of rude.. not everyone knows what things are in proper poke restaurant terms .. I was asking to confirm if whatever I was reading was “crab meat” and she seemed annoyed at me asking.. I’m sorry if you don’t want people to ask then label the thing crab meat or get a different job not in customer service.. I asked for spicy mayo and then I asked for another sauce which apparently was spicy mayo written with a different name, I tried to laugh it out and make light of the situation because she obviously wasn’t happy with my ignorance but again seemed annoyed that I didn’t know I had already asked for that. Forget the attitude.. to each their own but for God’s sake don’t feed hot raw fish to people.. i may not know what crab meat is in whatever lingo that was written in but I know hot raw fish= bacteria. I recommend if you want poke, save yourself the trouble and some money at okii poke.. their prices are better, better quality and good...
Read moreI ordered lunch online from here today b/c a colleague said she was going there to pick her own food up. Neither of us realized she gave me the incorrect name of where she was going. I called the restaurant in an attempt to cancel my order (I didn't expect a refund honestly) but was told they couldn't cancel my order or give me a full refund. I told them that was not an issue, I did not believe the refund would happen so instead I just wanted to make sure the food (a basic order online) was not wasted and someone could have a free meal. I was told that was not possible either and that the best he could do was give me a 50% refund (he didn't tell me how he would do the refund, in person or just on the card i ordered). I told him no one would be there to pick the order up as my colleague was at another location. He again said a refund and/or giving the food away was not possible. I thanked him for his time and disconnected the call.
I have been able to cancel an online order in the past (this doesn't happen often before you ask!) so this was a first for me but the part that bums me out is the waste of food. I will not be ordering online from there again nor will I be going in person to support this...
Read moreThe food is ok but don't hold a fundraiser here. My organization did, we organized everything through their partner GroupRaise and got a green light from the restaurant to proceed with a profit sharing fundraiser where a certain percentage of each order our group members purchased would come back to our organization. We advertised the event to our club and had them RSVP to the event.
When we showed up to order the employees had no idea how to enter our event code to give us credit in the profit share. Now over three months later they refuse to give our portion of the profit share even though we sent many members to them for this event. I went near the end of when the event was scheduled for and witnessed at least 7 bowls get ordered by different club members I personally know and we all asked them to apply the event code, I even brought a friend with me who is not in the club to help with the fundraiser. It is a shame they are so disorganized and now refuse to work with us to get the profit share they agreed to months in advance.
Also, the miso soup is not good and not worth...
