I've been working with Savmart since 2007 when I first started buying things for my vacation rentals. I've purchased almost a hundred thousand dollars worth of couches, furniture, rugs, mattresses, art and appliances. The list goes on and on. Have they always been perfect, no. They are an organization run by humans. But they do a great job, they have good merchandise, they stand by their products and when they have made mistakes they bend over backwards to make things right. I like working with a small-town family owned business more than I like buying from the big box stores even when I have to pay a little bit more. Who hasn't bought something from Home Depot where it breaks 6 months later only to find out that they have no idea where you bought it, when you bought it, whether it came with a warranty or whether they will be able to fix it or not?
I especially appreciate Nate who has helped me out a bunch of times and Amanda who does a great job in the sales department.
Recently I bought a couch and we had delivery issues due to the recent snowstorm. On the day we could finally deliver it Amanda actually drove out there with the delivery guys to make sure it got done. Now that's what I call customer service!
Thanks for always trying to do the right thing and for having competitive prices. Also thanks for paying your employees a living wage. Additionally, I'm a big fan of their scratch and dent department. They always have a batch of items that are about half off and having vacation rentals I've bought a ton of that...
Read moreWe walked in to buy a washing machine the first weekend of July and caught the salesman in a flat out lie! My husband still wanted to buy from them because of the in-house service and in the past he says he had good relations with them. However our brand new washing machine broke in August and we’ve had to had the repair guy out twice to fix! Getting him out here was a nightmare due to their limited availability. Our options were to take several days off work because they refuse to schedule a time window or to let him in my house without being home. He also kept calling me even though I had asked three times for him to call my husband. He was here most recently on Friday and we went to wash a load of laundry this morning and now it sounds and feels like a helicopter is taking off in my house. I called to schedule yet another repair (over a week out)!!! When I told the woman on the phone about the noise/vibration issues her response was dismissive and lackluster. We are currently in the market for an oven and had planned on going to Savmart this morning to buy however, I will now be researching other appliance stores in town as dealing with this washing machine has already caused too much stress and trouble.
Update: Still having issues with this machine and have to miss another day of work to have a repair guy come look at it. I’m anticipating that he won’t be able to fix it tomorrow so that’ll be another day of missed work. Very disappointed and would recommend Lowe’s or Costco for appliance...
Read moreWe bought a washer and dryer earlier this year, horrible experience from day one. 1 We were told that both items where in stock, after waiting for at least 30 minutes we were informed that the one of the items was not in stock we went back to the store to get the floor model. The Salesman informed us that their product came with in store one-year warranty. When we got the washer and dryer set up the dyer was not drying. My first reaction was it was defective. So, I called Sav-Mart and describe what was going on. They told me it was covered under the warranty and they would send a service tech out. The issue is that when I called the Sav-Mart rep did not disclose any charger for the service tech to go out. We got billed for the service tech going out. When I first called, I was told that the charge was due to the repairs that the tech did. Nothing was fixed, I ended up using my home warranty insurance to get repairs done. When I called today, I was informed that the charge was because they sent out a tech. I understand the charge, it’s common for repair service to charge just to send someone out, but it’s also common to disclose the charge before they send someone out. The charge was never...
