If I could give fewer stars, I would. My experiences at The Time Capsule have been consistently disappointing, and it starts with the ownerâs attitude. Unfortunately, he has a habit of projecting his personal issues onto customers, which has led to several uncomfortable interactions. One example? He tried to charge me $80 for an item that clearly had a $60 price tag. When I pointed it out, instead of correcting the mistake, he launched into an unnecessary rant about his distributor. As a customer, thatâs not really something I need to be guilted about.
Another instance was when I messaged the storeâs Facebook page on a Monday, just asking about a trade. Instead of a simple response, I was told I should "respect that theyâre closed on Mondays" and not message. The message couldâve easily waited until the next business day without issue. It felt like an overreaction.
The store itself is clean, but the selection is quite limited and rarely updated. If you're looking for variety, you wonât find much here. One shelf is primarily filled with Funkos, which may not be for everyone.
Iâm all for supporting small businesses, but customer service is a key part of that. If you're willing to take a short trip to Leavenworth, Krampus Kave offers a far better experienceâgreat selection, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe. If not, even Amazon would be a more enjoyable and straightforward option...
Read moreOh my gosh. This place.... This place is freaking amazing. My kids and I were kicked out of the Eastmont Lanes arcade for bringing in a soda bottle that I just purchased. I was with my 4 and 5 year old but I just couldn't give them money after that ridiculous experience. Its no wonder they're struggling. Enough about that place though... I called The Time Capsule and let them know I was with my littles and looking for a place to play some video games! They were super friendly and welcoming. When I walked inside, I was overcome with feelings of excitement and nostalgia. It felt like I was walking into my old room where my friends and I used to game. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Not only do they have arcade and console games hooked up, they have a ton of super cool items for sale. If you were a 90s kid, you HAVE to go in there!
I still had my soda bottle with me and it didn't seem to be a problem. Extremely smart from a business standpoint because now my 4 year old wants to have his 5th birthday there. I absolutely LOVE this place. This is probably my longest review but I feel like I owe it to this place. They're awesome.
We'll be contacting you soon to set up the...
Read moreThis place was simply amazing! I love the underground atmosphere, the selection of toys and games from my childhood, the awesome guy that probably runs the place (wasnât sure, but seemed like the owner), and the tidiness! Everywhere you look in this place, thereâs something to look at, but it didnât feel overwhelming either. I found things Iâd been looking for and things I didnât even know. I remembered. The hang out room is so cool. My son got to enjoy some retro games and even play his favorite game on the PC! Canât wait to go back and wish we didnât live over an hour away. Idk what that other reviewer was talking about with âthe smellâ, but it was probably a pungent customer who had left. It was nothing but a comfortable experience. All children of the 90âs, do yourselves a favor. Go. Youâll...
