Visited the Dermatology department on 2/16/2023. Be aware that they have a parking issue and the garages fill up fast! I had an appointment at 10:30a and the parking was full by 10a. Street parking is challenging. Definitely make time for parking! As far as the office visit, the reception staff and nurse assistance was very friendly and polite. My only concern with this department was the lack of communication. I made an appointment with Dr. Roger Haber and confirmed with the staff but did not get to see Dr. Haber. Once brought back to be examined, I asked repeatedly during my visit if I was seeing him, and they didn't acknowledge me. I had done my research to see Dr. Haber and not anyone else. I would not recommend this office, especially if you are paying out of pocket or you have a high deductible. Confirm who will be seeing you before even paying the co-payment!!! During my visit, I was seen by a PA at first and then Dr. Paul Storrs. They confirmed my diagnosis based on the reports I had brought in but no other solutions. I was there to speak about inflammation in detail with Dr. Haber and unfortunately that conversation wasn't be accomplished. Dr. Storrs has yet to respond to an email from 2 weeks ago. He has not looked over my results from prior biopsies, which he requested. Hopefully this review helps someone else during the scheduling of an appointment. I would recommend Independent...
Read moreIt took 3 months to even get an appointment. You walk in to a crowded waiting room with people with contagious skin ailments. You are given a clipboard that is never washed and pens used by every patient all day. The staff for some reason is squished 3 deep on a desk area that is too small. The line moves slow and appointments can be over 80 minutes late. You will be placed in a waiting room for another 15 minutes. An intern will be in a rush to type up your symptoms. When the actual doctor who you have an appointment appears the total actual face time will be 5 to 10 minutes. They will recommend ointments first and then squeeze another appointment out of your insurance policy. Be wary if you have limited access to cash to pay. I...
Read moreMy appointment was at 9am to visit Dr Bain. I sat and waited for an hour and 15 minutes until my name was called. I proceed to the back room and waited another 45 minutes until her nurse entered and I asked her “Do you guys normally have patients waiting 2 hours” she proceeded to brush me off. Bain was very nice too btw during my appointment. I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medication and was not educated at all about medication. I asked the pharmacist is this a good ointment( I only asked her because we both have Melanin and the rest of the office is white) . She scrunched her face and proceeded to say that its for whatever Bain gave...
