Child and Youth Center - Pediatric Primary Care — Local services in West Chicago Township

Moved my daughter here hoping that having a clinic affiliated with a hospital would improve her care. It did not. They prescribed her meds that were working, she was doing excellent and on a follow up visit (I had to come in for every refill for some reason) I was denied the medicine. The Dr. on staff over the residents there told me she was uncomfortable writing it and I need to go to a specialist and there was a long wait. No offer to refer with another Dr (MAYBE THE ONE WHO AUTHORIZED THE PRIOR 2 PRESCRIPTIONS!!!) just nope, go to the specialist. Oh she did offer to talk a pharmacist who MIGHT have did it but not right at that moment. I was heartbroken for my child. Came in 25 minutes early for the appointment, wrote both my kids name down. There was no other kids names written before us. They called my kids name and when I got to the lady she said i came in early for the appointment and now I have to wait. The medical care and service is fine, the thing to watch out for is that because this clinic is within a hospital they charge both the pediatric clinic office visit and a overall hospital facilities fees. Even though our PPO insurance covers vaccines and preventive care, we have to pay hundreds of dollars for healthy visits due to the hospital facility charges.
