One of the best self serve car wash in the area. Very spacious with lots of amenities. Absolutely love that it’s 24/7. The car wash stalls are easy to drive into right off the street. It accepts card and dollar coins but not quarters. There are machines to trade in your cash for coins (but make sure the “not in service” light isn’t on). The car wash charges $1=1 min and they require a minimum of 5 min, so minimum $5. If you’re using coins and you need a little more time to wash, make sure to add more coins before the timer in complete bc it will make you buy minimum 5 min again. That’s why I like using my card bc any extra time beyond 5 min is automatically charged. If it’s your first time, it can definitely be a little confusing, but basically the whole thing is controlled by a dial and you turn the dial to the specific function you want to activate. You don’t have to go in order but I’ll list them in the order they have them. So the first function is soapy water spray (high pressured), then soapy brush, then spray regular water, then triple foam clean, wax, spot-free rinse, blow dry. Keep in mind this is all FROM MEMORY so I’m most likely missing one step or there are some out of order. You don’t have to go through every single function (that would take a lot longer than 5 min) You can skip some. It all depends how much money you want to spend. If you only want a basic wash that is under 5 min, then just use the soapy water spray, foam brush for tough places (but be minimal with this), very quick rinse with high pressures plain waiter then go over entire car with spot free rinse. You do that after the plain water rinse because it’s NOT high pressured so it will take longer to rinse all the soap off esp if you used the foam brush. I don’t recommend using the blow dry. It takes FOREVER and you will def be using the max 15 min. Work fast and pay attention to how much time has gone by (there’s a timer that shows this) because it definitely goes by a lot quicker than you think. Just make sure you turn it to off when you’re done or it keeps charging you. Now, there will be 4 different tools/hoses. If you’re new, you won’t really know which one to use until you turn it to a specific function, then stuff will start to come out of the hose that you’re supposed to use. It’s all a learning process! After washing, you drive forward to the vacuuming area where you can pay $2 for 4 or $3 for 6 min to vacuum the interior of your car. There are 3 settings: turbo, super, and fragrance. The turbo setting gives 3.5 minutes of time, whereas the super power setting gives you 4 minutes. Fragrance is 1 min. The options are piña colada, cherry, and new car smell. They also have these “vending” machines where you insert money and you can get rags, car freshener, towels, and other car cleaning supplies. There’s also 2 sinks with running water and one of those rolling things that lets you squeeze out towels. Overall I love this car wash and how roomy it is, the extra amenities, and that usually it’s not too busy or crowded! Oh and best part is the washing stalls AND vacuum area is shaded!! Not all car washes have this. There’s also bright lights there at night that really help you see, but they are turned off after a certain hour. Oh and one more thing.. the homeless often come here and dig through the trash cans, so just be aware of that. You’ll usually encounter at least 1 during your trip here. They usually dump out the trash can barrels, sort through the trash, and just leave all the trash on the ground. Some also just sit next to the trash can in the drying stall, preventing anyone from using it. Cops don’t do anything about it either (just saw a sheriff car pull up to a homeless man angrily throwing trash out of the barrel and leaning down exposing his butt crack, but the sheriff only stayed for like 30 seconds and the homeless man continued on his rampage. Now it looks like he’s cooking dope and shooting up. He’s been here for...
Read moreOvercharged! Forced to use Apple Pay because the machine wouldn’t accept the $1 coins I got from their change dispenser. Kept it to 4 minutes to be within the $5/5min charge; when I was done the Nayax Wash machine said I was being charged $5. When I checked my statement later it was $15. Didn’t see any mention of a minimum credit charge. This is a total ripoff and I’m not the only one they’ve done this to, read the reviews - this excess is being charged to many customers every day, probably raking in thousands a day for the owners. They probably disable the abilitty to accept cash so they can overcharge people via card. Go somewhere else, and if these guys overcharge you, reach out to the West Hollywood Chamber...
Read moreThe actual car wash itself is good, but every time I come here something new is broken in the vacuuming bays and the auto vending machines take your money but are often empty, with no refund. The vacuum hoses are always damaged, making them useless. There is a sign that says if you leave your information on a piece of paper and slide it under the door, your credit card will be reimbursed. That NEVER happens. It’s really frustrating because it’s the only DIY car wash in the area, but the maintenance on their vacuums and the infrequent stocking of the auto vending items (towels, etc) makes this place a bit of a rip off. But if you just want to wash our car and do absolutely nothing...
