Just don’t shop here. Save your time and money.
Long version: We went into the store to purchase a sectional sofa. The employees who were at the door did not greet us but simply stared at us for several seconds. After not being greeted, we finally said we would like to buy a couch to which they just continued to stare at us. Then they looked at each other and one of them just walked away. We decided to follow the one that walked away in hopes that she would show us a couch. Amanda did finally show us the couch that we had found online, but was very unhelpful and rude. We asked her if the fabric if the couch had any stain coating to which she just stared and ignored our question. We asked if there were any other similar items in the store that we could look at, which she also ignored and told us to look around. I’m not sure if she’s just rude or has some mental health issues.
We ended up purchasing the couch because we liked the product and because it was in our price range. And then ended up having more issues dealing with the company. We were told that our couch would not be in for 6 to 8 weeks, which was fine. We expected a wait, But then we received a phone call less than a week before our confirm delivery date which said that our couch would not be in for another several weeks. My husband called the store to complain about this and was hung up on. He tried again and after waiting For more than 90 minutes on hold he did speak to a manager who promised that our couch would be delivered on our original date. We received an automated confirmation call from the movers as a voicemail, and he called back to confirm waiting another very long time on hold before being able to confirm the delivery date.
We tried to confirm the order on the website and email, but all of the links were invalid. So we get to October 28 our schedule delivery date, for which I had to take a day off of work in order to meet the delivery men, And naturally they did not show. My husband has currently been on hold for a very nearly 2 hours at this point trying to find out where the delivery is and when it will be at our house. Just do not shop with Value City. We have already told everyone we know that they should not purchase furniture from Value City. And we will...
Read moreVery upset with you company and manager. I went into the store n 06/12/25 spoke with Charles Haigis great salesperson. I returned on 06/13/2025 to order furniture. I was looking into another furniture set however it would not all be able at the same time. I explained to Charles of the importance of all pieces arriving at the same time on the date that was specified. All parties were on board. order was placed. This was for a scheduled housewarming with dedication of my late grandmother's life. I allotted 3 days for error. I stopped in on 06/15/2025 to make sure everything was on track. I spoke to a lady at the front desk. She asked for my phone number and confirmed everything was good to go. While leaving the store passed Charles my salesperson he said is everything ok? I responded with yes just checking to make sure this weekend went off without an issue. I said that the lady at the front desk confirmed it. We are all good. I thanked him for everything. Charles told me to stop back if I need any other furniture. I thanked him and said I would. On 07/17/2025 I received a text message to confirm my furniture deliver date. It was scheduled for 07/18/2025 between the hours of 10:45am-1:45pm. I clicked on the link error messaged showed up. I called the number listed in the link. Call into the store in Pittsburgh where order was placed. Now to find out not all the furniture is coming. I was so upset tha.t I asked to speak with a manager. Not once did he apologize or even acknowledge that fact of the importance nor me stopping in this week for conformation. He responded that if it was month late, he would consider a discount. Is this a common practice for you company to be months late. I seemed to have not mattered on his priority level. I asked for his name told me shift manager. I asked for an employee number his response was manager. I was extremely upset. I told him this was good enough. Make it right by waiving the deliver fee. He cancelled my order. I called to speak to the Ohio office. The manager didn't even refund me correctly. Is this how your company does operations? I plan to make this public. I understand things I need to at least be...
Read moreDO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM HERE! We have had nothing but problems since we got the furniture. It is put together poorly. We bought a couch and chair from them. As well as the warranty they offer because Chuck (salesman) recommended it since we have 2 toddlers. A few days after the furniture was delivered we noticed the arm on one of the chairs was messed up (internally, not fabric). So we called and a guy came out, took pics and put a report in. When we heard back we were told it was up to standards and they refused to do anything about it. Now the same arm, broke. The guy came out and took pics, we got the report back and they refused to fix it because of "improper care and maintenance" when we have told them about the problem since the beginning and wanted maintenance on it! Their salesman Chuck also told us the warranty was good for 5 years and that we could have the furniture cleaned once a year if needed. THIS IS WRONG! They will only spot clean and you have to send pics of the spot needing cleaned. If you call for a service call it takes weeks for your appointment. If you get another spot/stain on your furniture between the time you schedule your service call and when they get there THEY WILL NOT CLEAN IT while they are cleaning the other spots! You have to take a pic of that new spot and put in a claim and they have to come back out (weeks later) to clean the new spot. When we called him the last time for the broken chair arm we also wanted a few spots on the chair cleaned and a small tear fixed (under cushion caused by rubbing the springs). He DID NOTHING to the chair except take pictures of the arm and said it would need fixed at the factory or replaced. So now we have a chair with a broken arm, rip and spots. Oh and if you spill something on your furniture and try to clean it, it voids the warranty. We didn't do this but it's what the guy told us. I can not tell you how infuriating it is find out you've spend thousands of dollars on POS furniture at a POS company. I will never buy from them again and recommend people go elsewhere where you're not scammed...
