See below if you really want to read a novel. Apparently Google and AMC wonāt let you write more than one review for this location. When I try, I get a message that tells me I already left a review. Well, that review was spot on, but years ago. Fast forward to present. The theatre is cleaner. So thereās that. But! They only seem to cater to HORROR movies.. ugh, if youāve seen one, youāve seen āem all. Obviously Iām not a horror fan. Here I have a stupid Stubs card and being single, it takes forever to earn a $5 reward.. AMC simply does the bare minimum toward movie goers. Firstly, the salt on the brittle popcorn is a whole LOT! Half the time, the reclining seats are either broken and wonāt recline or are unplugged and you can try to plug them in yourself and find how disgustingly dirty it is under there or you gotta hunt someone down to do it for you. 90% of movies now are Horror! They have senior ticket pricing that saves one a whole dollar! One measly dollar. They got rid of the small popcorn and turned it into a medium I guess. You can get a big bag or a big olā bucket. The smallest soft drink cup is at least 32oz. If you have a soda addiction, this is where you want to be. A popcorn and drink is easily $20. Maybe Iām just tired of going broke to see one non-horror movie. Maybe Iām just tired of the AMC app that shows 20+ movies, but over half arenāt even showing in this theatre. You spend 30 minutes selecting movies youāre interested in just to see ānot showing in this theatreā What was playing last weekend wonāt necessarily be showing this weekend, just to pop up again during the week. Make it make sense! Most movies start at the same time with the same running time, so gone are the days of movie marathons with your friends.. did I mention theyāre real supporters of HORROR movies? Good grief..
I used to LOVE this theatre, but it's a mess all the time now. I went to a movie at noon on a Tuesday. It wasn't very busy at all. I figured it would be less of a pit, but no. It seems it's always a mess. Popcorn all over the floor (as usual), soda spilled on counters, even at the checkout stand where I would think someone could just take a napkin and wipe it up. Sadly I laid my hand in it, not seeing it. The floors are sticky in and around the concession area, and theatres. Soda straw wrappers and discarded lids littered the majority of available counter space.. I could go on, but won't. This theatre needs to up it's game.
I still stand by the above review at the time it was writ... Google apparently will only allow you to write a review once for this theater.
I appreciate the location and years of entertainment this theatre has provided, but why oh why is the volume so LOUD!!!??? I understand the immersive theaters, and dolby . Sound, etc., but regular theaters are painfully LOUD. Can it be turned down a couple notches without ruining the experience? I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere were 20 or so employees here when we arrived and very few patrons. Out of all of the employees, maybe four were working. The other 16 were standing around talking to each other. We bought concessions and headed in.
When we got into our movie the sound was horrible. The surround sound was cranked to a near painful level and the speaker where the voices come from was so low you could barely hear actors speaking. During loud scenes you couldn't hear what they were saying.
I went out during the previews and no one was at the customer service desk. After a minute the guy I believe to be the manager walked up. He immediately pushed it off as "possibly" an issue with the previews and said he'd send someone to check it out. When I got back I heard the sound reset, but there was no change. When the movie started there was no difference, so I decided to leave.
I am an A-List member, so it's not like I can get a refund for my comped ticket, but rest assured I wanted a refund for my ridiculous $7 coke. On the way out there were three separate gaggles of employees huddled in the back of the theater talking. Up front there was no one at the customer service desk. I leaned against the desk waiting for service. Multiple employees saw me. Other employees walked by. Not one asked if I needed help, let alone went to let the appropriate persons know I was there. It would be one thing if I had made a scene on my first trip out, but I was perfectly collected and polite. TWENTY employees standing around and not one trying to help. At this point I noticed the manager behind the concessions stand with 4-5 other employees who were more than sufficient for the few customers there. I go to the concessions to seek my refund and stand there. More customers walk up. I stand there... No one gets addressed. Finally I gave up and dropped my drink on the floor and walked out. If I'm paying $7 for a drink I won't enjoy since I can't comprehend the movie I drove 90 minutes round trip for due to the shoddy quality of your cinema, you can accommodate me by at least cleaning up my $7 off the floor... seeing as you neglect your regular job functions and that's all I can get out of you for my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time at an AMC theater. It is also the first theater that has no staff at the entrance so I was a little confused. They have check in kiosks to choose your movie and see available times. The interface for the kiosk took some getting used to. After I purchased my tickets from the kiosk I went inside and somebody tore my ticket and left me to roam.
I was immediately presented with 3 areas, soda machines in the center, a bar to the right, and what I assumed was a guest relations counter to the left.
I approached the concessions area and they took my order but then told me to proceed to a different line and order again. Unusual but maybe they were just hot food orders in that line.
The confusion is acceptable and understandable for a first timer with no signs or direction. However, what was unacceptable was how absolutely filthy this place was. There was a lot of popcorn just strewn across the entire concessions area. Soda stains were running down nearly every machine and counter near them. Lids and straws just blown out if their holders. The kiosks at the front entrance looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks as there was a visible grime from so many people touching it that you could literally scoop it with your fingertips. I don't even understand how it would be in that condition from normal use. This left me wondering if other areas of the theater were just as neglected.
The bathroom was surprisingly well kept and clean.
Not enough interaction with the staff to gauge customer service. Everyone was just doing their job, no small talk or personality.
Some of the seats in the theater were not working so somebody let their kid sit in the seat that I was assigned. No big deal as there were other empty seats though they should fix that issue to prevent future conflicts and reduce those occurrences.
I would likely visit this theater again if I am ever in the area but I do hope it is a little more presentable next...
