This is for my last experience at the salon. I had told the hairstylist I’ve been seeing (Paula) not to use the highest setting on the flat iron. I have a bad feeling so I ask to check the flat iron and it’s turned all the way up to 480. No wonder when I wash my hair it smells like burnt eggs when I had gotten it flat ironed previously. I tell her to turn it down because I’d ALREADY communicated that I didn’t want the flat iron turned up all the way. She shows me she turns it down to 410 which is perfect for me so I relax bc I should be able to trust the person doing my hair. Then when she gets to the middle doing my hair I hear the flat iron click multiple times I turn my head back and ask if she’s turned the heat up and I look at the flat iron and it’s back at 480. After catching her she tells me she accidentally pressed the buttons which is nonsense. I shouldn’t have to look over my shoulder worried I can’t trust the stylist doing my hair. I simply asked that she didn’t use the highest setting and she went against my wishes. I felt very disrespected. Unacceptable I will NOT be back.
EDIT: in response to the owners message saying “there’s no way to turn up the flatiron” … there is a way to lower and turn up the heat because Paula showed me the flatiron and asked if the temperature was okay. Then after she turned it up I asked to see it again and she turned it back down to 410. I physically watched her press the button on the flatiron up and down. So the response is just a...
Read moreI should have left when they had me wait 30 minutes without saying anything. Stylist Mabel was trying to do two people at once and literally said maybe 5 sentences to me over the 3.5 hours I was there for a highlight and trim. After she applied color, she went on to someone else's hair for forty minutes. I finally got someone's attention to tell them that I'd had bleach on my hair for 2 hours, Mabel overheard, didn't say a single thing to me, but had me sit at the rinsing station and left. After a few minutes, two stylists I was not introduced to took 40 minutes to remove the foils while speaking in Spanish over my head. Nobody said a single word to me. Maybe if i spoke Spanish I wouldn't have been treated like a second class customer, who knows. I've never had such a bad customer service experience. The trim was fine, the color was left on too long, is uneven, and she clearly put in as few foils as possible. Front desk and manager were very pleasant, but the experience as a whole was horrible. I won't...
Read moreMy daughter used to go there to do her hair, nails, and massage , but ultimately she wasn't very happy with the price for doing her hair, first one of the stylist charged her $40, then the following appointment was 45 and the last appointment was $50 with the same hair size, and was the same stylist, I believe you have to be constant with the price, my neighbor went there for a hair cut to their kids, and she was telling me it was a ripped off, they charged for the boy hair cut $30.00 not even with the machine , was with the scissors and the hair end up horrible not even you can see she cut his hair, next to that hair cut they charge for that $12 ,and for the little girl to cut two inches she charged her $25 , without telling she was mad because she showed up in the middle when all of them were doing her hairs like they were the clients , for sure I will not recommend to anyone go there including me , I think the owner might shows up more often to see what are they doing , my neighbor said was a...
