Saw Moe. And Daniel Danato. Beautiful show. Had a friend with us that needed ADA. When we arrived to parking lot there were only 2 parking spots for handicap filled. The tour buses and food trucks were parked in the rest of the handicap spots. We had to park further away at another business in the 3rd handicap spot left. My friend walked with his cane across the lot. Then get to venue and scanned tickets. NO BAG CHECK OR CHAIR CHECK. We then carried our chairs up the stairs and down the lawn to the pit to be told we can't have chair up front. We said we have a friend that had a kidney transplant and uses a cane, he needs a seat. Seems there were no spots for ADA. But they allowed our friend to set up on the rail all the way to the left right of the stage. But we had to return our other 2 chairs to the car. They could of told us when they scanned ticket we couldn't bring chairs in (it did say you can bring chairs in but nothing about them not being up front. They did have chairs along the rail separating the pit from back lawn- which no one sat in) We purchased tickets so we could be in the pit $108 a piece. Biggest complaint is the chompers that decided to stand infront of our friend on either side of the rail and have a full blown conversation instead of watching and listening to the show. I asked them to stand behind us if they were going to talk and they pretended not to hear us, continued to talk and block our view. Thanks for being respectful in the "ADA" section. The 2 in the picture also pushed their way infront of us 3 hours into the show.
Appreciate the man that helped our friend and allowed him to sit up close. Please be respectful of ADA and try to accommodate them better with parking...
Read moreI really thought this venue was going to be good. It looks nice, the grounds are well maintained and the staff was nice, but the sound system is honestly quite bad. The stage sounds like a cheap Bluetooth speaker cranked all the way up and I could still hear everyone talking around me. I saw Disco Biscuits here on their 30 year anniversary tour which was a blast because they always get you where you wanna go, but if their amazing sound crew couldn't make the stage sound good I'm not sure anyone can. The whole night it sounded like nothing under 80hz could push its way through the speakers, they just kept clipping right in the zone where Allen's big juicy techno kicks want to blast off the high notes sounded like they were coming through a tin can.
The whole monologue before the show about how many big fancy corporations give the pavilion money, and how us paying attendees make everything possible suggested a good sound system that can deliver a bit of thump, but I guess they just didn't get enough from us to afford some decent speakers. I still had a blast because Disco Biscuits rule, but I won't be paying to see anyone else at the Levitt Pavilion. Also the whole bar situation is pretty awful with how you have to stand in line to buy drink tickets and then stand in a separate line at the bar for...
Read moreUpdate to my previous review: the venue gifted us tickets for forgetting to respond!
Here is the info they shared for anyone else with accessibility needs:
“The lawn is slightly sloped, and it can be rugged in places, but we regularly welcome patrons who use wheelchairs and/or transporters. We have an ADA ramp that leads from the plaza to mid-field. We normally reserve the seating area immediately adjacent to the ramp (whether it is "chair provided by venue" as it is for this show -- or BYO-lawn chair) for those patrons using wheelchairs and their companions.
We will also ensure that you can access a seat in any section you wish to buy a ticket, but I feel access is most efficient at the midfield section due to its proximity to the ramp. Frequently, patrons will let us know when they are coming so we can reserve chairs or area as needed.”
Original review:
I was hoping to see a show here but no one returned my two emails and phone call inquiring which seat types are wheelchair accessible. Sadly I don't feel confident spending money for a nonrefundable ticket without this...
