I wandered into the Sorelle Gallery by chance (somewhat embarrassed by my pandemic uniform of sweats) and was greeted so very graciously. I was then given the great gift - unusual in many stores or galleries - of being left alone to peruse the art. As I rounded a corner I was struck by two glorious paintings. I just stared at them, already envisioning where they would be in my house. I turned to Sandy, who sensed I was ready to engage, and we had a wonderful discussion about the painter, her style and how I envisioned the work in my home. At the counter, thinking I was done, I gracefully knocked over a painting. Dylan could not have made me feel more at ease. In my embarrassment I turned away, only to see another glorious painting - a perfect complement to the two I was buying. Then my daughter walked in and, as I turned to her, I saw a print perfect for my den. I have never been so pleased to spend money! (And the prices are very fair). On Sandy's recommendation, Marc Fattahi came to hang all four paintings PLUS some others I had meant to hang some day. What an eye he has! Dylan ably assisted and I got great and much desired feedback about the groupings. Tonight I am sitting in a candlelit room, looking at paintings on a wall that was bare for 30+ years! I am SO happy.
