Standard sushi/sashimi with acceptable quality. I ordered the sashimi bento and an eel hand roll. Portions were smaller for the price compared to other places.

This place faltered on service during my afternoon lunch on the weekend. First, I wasn’t seated immediately when there was an open table. I was told it was reserved - but then the walk-up family that followed me less than one minute later (confirmed with them that they didn’t have a reservation) was given the table. Second, once seated, the server took a lot of time to take my order. Third, my eel and cucumber hand roll was inaccurately served as eel and avocado so I had to send it back. Fourth, although it was outdoor seating, some of the basics of outdoor seating fell short. Too many bees buzzing around my table with no counter-pest measures taken. And then, the people seated next to me had a dog that continuously barked - and the servers didn’t ask the owner to control the animal or withdraw from the area. Finally, the server went MIA when I wanted to order dessert and check-out.

Overall - disappointing. Debated giving a one star rating, but gave two stars as the food was ok compared to bad sushi places more deserving of the...

I (used to) go there all the time. A Westport regular. So, I ordered takeout by phone, got there to find I had forgotten my wallet. Check was $51, I had $38 in spare bills and change in the car. I suggested I take the food, and call her with my credit card for the remaining $13. The hostess had to call the manager to approve that. Took a while but it was approved by the manager - as long as I showed ID. Which I would have except... I forgot my wallet! Then the hostess said she would remove $13 of food from the bag. I walked out and left them with the entire order. If this is the kind of "service" you want as a regular - for $13 dollars - then absolutely go for it. But I...

Pink Sumo is good. The food from both the kitchen as well as the sushi bar are very good and I’ve always enjoyed coming here. They also have good drinks too.

Since I’m not from the area, I’m not a regular but I make it over a few times throughout the year and the last time that I came here for dinner, I noticed that their menu prices have increased quite a bit. I wasn’t sure if it’s due to demand and lack of availability so I compared some common menu items to a nearby place and the outcome was a bit offsetting. For example, I rarely see eel on a sushi menu for more than $3.50 per piece and they’re charging $10.

In conclusion, this place is a treat with a...

Good sake and sushi at reasonable prices Mind you, there are a whole bunch of caveats here 1. "For CT": There is a dearth of reasonable sake available in CT, but they make do here (if you can get it, they sell it) 2. "For CT" v2: The happy hour prices/items are excellent (and it's HH every day!) The atmosphere is really quite good, the staff friendly, and they actually seem to give a s**t. Whats more, there is definitely a little bit of "see and be seen" going on, but not at the expense of the food/drinks mind you - it only adds to the atmosphere. The bottom line - well worth the time... Update: It bears returning too - just as good the 2nd and 3rd time I've been!

This was recommended as the best sushi place around Fairfield and I have to agree. I went with my husband for a quiet lunch today and the interior size is surprising from what you see outside. The staff were appropriately attentive to us and refilled our drinks and made sure things came out in a timely manner. The presentation of the food was wonderful as well as the taste and the value for the items. (They gave us their own Wasabi, which was an added delight). I really enjoyed positive staff attitudes and everyone was pleasant and thoughtful. Would highly recommend this experience and will be back.
