We got there on a busy Saturday night. They don't have a parking lot but there seems to be plenty of public parking. They still have indoor and outdoor dining options. We had a large party but were luckily seated very quickly. However the rest of the service was delayed. Dining with kids is tough but when they are hungry it's so much harder. We ordered the Mac and cheese and flat bread pizza for the kids. The Mac and cheese was untouched but they enjoyed the pizza. I got the Moscow mule and it was mottled with blueberries and other fruit. It was a strong drink. I got the Truffle vegetarian burger. I really liked the cheese but the flavor of the Truffle and egg were lost. It was also very messy. The fries were extra salty but the sweet potato fries were very good. The regular vegetarian burger was a 3, but being made in house is nice. The rigatoni pasta was a hit. I didn't try it since the kids loved it. They food is a little pricey but the service could have been better. They could have brought the kids meals out earlier. We were almost there for 3 hours so we didn't want to stay any longer for dessert. The burrata was great and the brucheta...

One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Had to jump on the wait lost for a busy Saturday afternoon. Was seated and Constance was our waitress. She has such a great personality, and good energy. When she came up to the table it was almost like we were her girlfriends having dinner at her place. We ordered the sangria which she mentioned that she makes with a peach purĂ©e and it was excellent! We ordered the Mediterranean salad with shrimp which was so good! The variety in the salad is what I love to see on my plate. We also ordered the spaghetti squash pasta which was so rich in flavor it was hard to miss the protein or actual pasta in this dish. It didn’t need any of that! We also ordered the fried calamari. I am a dipper and I appreciated the three sauce variety. The calamari was also pretty large and was so good. The atmosphere was nice, very casual, very clean and all of the staff was very friendly. But not overly friendly in a commercial way. It was a really great meal and we can’t wait...

Great service (very attentive and thoughtful/considerate, which never goes unnoticed) and the tavern has a cool vibe. Came for the food though and just overall wasn’t impressed - and we were very hungry too. Ordered the meatball spring rolls as a starter which I’d go so far as to not recommend. Not terrible but not worth it. We also got the Calamari which was a large portion (four adults split) and came with three dipping sauces. A soy based sauce, tartar sauce, and a marinara sauce. This was really good and I think we all enjoyed it. For entrees, I got the black truffle burger and my wife got the barn burger. I had high expectations for the BTB but it really wasn’t anything special. It was a decent size but really similar to any American burger. Wife also just said hers was just fine. My fries were over cooked to the point that once they cooled down they were hard. It’s a rare occasion that I don’t finish my fries but I probably left half of them. RIP. My wife’s sweet potato fries were...

Oh beautiful shore line of ct... The lovely sites of shoreline and historic homes. The spotted horse is one of those old homes from the 1800s turned into a restaurant. As you know as much as I love today trends... I love history. So fine an 1800s home turned into a restaurant is my thing. Friendly staff. Covid precautions and procedures in place as well. I sat outside on the covered porch.. Online menu. Unless you couldn't get it to work. They provided a physical one. I ended up with a seltzer water, corn and chicken tacos. About 4 choices for sides I chose sweet potato fries. Every thing was great. The table next to me was great group of people and it was great afternoon with now new friends... Just gotta love places where staff and others are friendly and friendships are made.

Everything was ON POINT. Food was hot that should be hot and cold food was freeing cold as it should be. Only downfall, eating outside on a blustery cold night- just make sure to wear appropriate shoes! My toes were frozen! Then again I expected heaters in the outdoor dining room as most other places have. Otherwise it was nice, not too loud for a Saturday- and I was told it was a 45/60 min wait- and as we were deciding what to do within 10 minutes the hostess had a table large enough for 4 and we were a party of 3. (My son had a broken foot and they allowed for a 4 person table to accommodate him having to have it up)

This is your classic American restaurant with a large menu filled with options for appetizers, salads, wraps, burgers, bowls, and entrees. For appetizers we ordered the pretzel bread dip, and crispy brussel sprouts. As entrees, I got the KFC which is the Korean fried chicken with kimchi and pickled veggies. My friends ordered a healthy bowl, with options to add an egg or fried chicken on top. Food was very good! Portions were absolutely HUGE. I left feeling very stuffed and very much needing a nap. The meal was very hearty and comforting, but quite on the heavy side.
