This is a really cool little store if you have never been. It's only a few feet wide (like 4), and it fits between two other buildings. One whole wall is "penny" candy (it ranges from a few cents on up). You can grab a tiny bag at the front and select whatever you want. Watching the very small children carefully select 50cents with of candy is it's own joy. They also make popcorn, excellent popcorn. We generally go each week and get a large bag. Actually we upgraded to their tin a while back, and you get a deal on refills. I don't know what goes in it, but without relying on heavy oils or seasonings it is delicious. They recently changed hands, and the new folks are making a go of it. There is a plaza and fountain right outside where you can enjoy your treat. I have been visiting for over 50 years, a regular Wheaton institution. Friendly folks. See you there. If you have wheels, this may be tight, as it is very narrow, but there are no stairs or other obstacles...

This IS Wheaton with all it's history, charm, service and hometown friendliness for children and adults!

The Popcorn Shop is owned and run by William Wakefield. This was a popular snack stop for commuters returning from work, when the railroad station was right across the street, and continues.

Occupying the space Between two businesses, it offers the best popcorn available, and needs no butter! Even from this butter lover, this is So good, it really does not! They also offer the largest assortment of "penny candy", in old fashioned jars, just within reach of the kids, whose eyes are always as wide as saucers, when they walk in.

Many of William's friends and classmates were young customers in our youth and continue to make certain that we stop by whenever we return to Wheaton.

Now celebrated as an historical icon, the Popcorn Shop continues to make memories in the...

Absolutely love this place! The Little Popcorn Store in Wheaton is a must-visit if you're a fan of all things sweet and salty. The moment you step in, you're greeted with that irresistible aroma of freshly popped popcorn. Their variety of popcorn flavors is just insane—you can go from classic butter to adventurous options like jalapeño cheddar. And let's not forget about the candy; it's like a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience even better. Don't be fooled by its small size; this shop packs a punch in terms of flavor and variety. 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a...

🍿 We stopped by The Little Popcorn Store this past weekend to celebrate my daughter’s big win! This charming, pint-sized shop is tucked into what feels like an alley and only fits four guests at a time. It’s incredibly small but absolutely adorable! 📍 111 1/4 West Front Street, Wheaton, IL 🕰 Hours: ▫️ Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM ▫️ Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM ✨ Fun Fact: This shop is just 49 inches wide and 60 feet long, making it one of the narrowest stores in Chicagoland! #candy #kidsoftiktok #family

Always consistently excellent from the popcorn to the friendliness of the staff. Popcorn prices are great and they have a variety of sizes from just a snack to a huge party bag. Huge selection of candy with hard to find favorites from my youth. Love everything about this store. Please don't change a thing.
