Love Wheaton's French Market! It's our every Saturday favorite during Market season. Between the great fresh fruits and veggies, fresh flowers, fresh baked goods,, and locally owned businesses and shops being there, we always find something we need. Or didn't know we needed till we went! Booths and products are changing often and with the season. Prices are a little high for the fresh produce, but worth it for local and fresh. Go early because it gets PACKED and the flow of traffic often comes to a stand still. They observe masks and one way traffic during this time, which is nice. But not sure if they limit the amount of people going in currently. They accept both cash and credit card at most booths. It's right next to Downtown Wheaton so it's a perfect weekend trip and you can visit the little shops downtown as well, stop and have lunch at the amazing restaurants, and even take a stroll through the beautiful parks right next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove love love this place. Fresh veggies everywhere, fresh made coffee, delish food and my very favorite DONUTS!! But not just any donuts, it donuts made by Hahns Bakery. OMCheezits, these donuts are out of this world!! $1.00 each or $10.00 for a dozen. These donuts are a must have when visiting this market!! They do have a variety, but my very favorite is the apple cider donut with the cinnamon crumble on top, yummm. This market also is pet friendly, so you can bring your fur baby with you. They also have pet treats, hand made clothing and so much more. This market is a must stop and shop, there's something for everyone here. This is my personal option about this farmers market and I have full permission from the venders to to post pictures. So go and check out this market, you won't be disappointed. I give this market a score of 5 stars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHaving shopped at the market for years, I have great appreciation for the ability to purchase directly from the people who grow the produce and bring it to us locally. This year has been more challenging as a shopper with health concerns during the pandemic. What started as senior hour for shoppers over a certain age, (8-9 am), looks more like first come first served of any age. Sadly, today the 4th of July, I witnessed twentysomethings with NO mask at tables conversing with vendors. I witnessed impatient 30-40 year olds ignoring the white arrows on the ground to indicate proper distancing bumping into me.I witnessed shoppers touching many bundles of produce before deciding which one they liked best. My shopping here will be far less frequent now, as no one appears to be able to impress upon the public that safety precautions are allegedly...
