Food: I and my parents had special beef phos and also ordered curry beef entree. The first thing I said to myself when I saw curry beef on the table was.. "man I don't know about this.". The food was a bit salty, and the taste/appearance wasn't really appealing. The pho's broth was also lacking flavor. The soup itself was dark, meaning they flavored it mostly with some type of sauce. "Good" phos will have rather brighter colored broth with deep flavor, instead of relying on sauces. There weren't that many meats in the soup, which was disappointing. Also, the soup was rather on the sweeter side. Tasted like sugar was added more than enough.

Service: It seemed to me that the servers weren't really attentive. The restaurant wasn't really crazy busy, but I had to constantly call them over to order/ask for things, etc. The servers were nice though.

Price: Felt a bit overpriced for what we got.

I had a high expectation since my friend told me this restaurant's got the best pho he's ever had; however, it was nothing close to the best. If you have no other option around the area when you are craving pho, go for it. But I would not come back to...

FOUR star for the food ONE star for the service I ended up giving one star because...

This place was recommended from a friend, before going I even came here to see their reviews....BUT!!!

There were just two of us, we order a hot water, a Vietnamese coffee and three dishes...the guy or waiter came took our order didnt write anything down, few mins later came back asking what was the third dishes we ordered LOL

Five min later, a bigger table of about 12ppl came, the same waiter waited on them, didnt bring a note to write down their orders and surprise....he forgot one of their orders!

If you have short memory its not very hard to grab a pen and a piece of paper writing them down!!!

And of course, our hot water never showed up!! I wonder why....

I have to say the food were pretty good but kinda on the small portion...and most importantly so why I gave it a one-star, IF there is a zero star I would! As soon as we got home, I had to use the bathroom, everything I ate...

"Home away from home" is how I always describe Luong Loi. We have been customers for many years, starting when they were across Main St. This new location is beautiful, warmly decorated with personal touches (I believe the owner's daughter took the photos on the wall.) The food is delicious and fresh tasting. We usually get the Lemongrass Chicken or Regular Pho as they are our favorites, but I have tried and enjoyed the Mongolian Beef, chicken wings and grilled lemongrass chicken. The egg rolls and spring rolls are both delicious.

Whenever we dine here, my daughter is automatically served more crispy garlic on her egg drop soup because she asked for extra garlic when she was very young at their location across the street and they still remember! It's so sweet and it makes us smile every time! It's also delicious.

The owner, chef and service staff are all wonderful. We really feel like we are at home here.

Thank you for the...

Great vietnamese food with great flavors. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls with a peanut sauce. We seasoned it with siracchia sauce. Very good. My husband ordered the beef pho and he really enjoyed the broth. I ordered the grilled lemon chicken with rice. It has a unique flavor but you need to pour the sauce over the rice and chicken for full flavor profiles. Everything was fresh and service was quick. It's family owned and the grandpa cleans the tables and brings water, food and your check but doesn't speak English well. The waiter varies from table to table. The atmosphere is pleasant and it's clean. My only complaint is the prices are not on the menu and you have to go online to the website for pricing. Sheesh...hard to find parking on the street.

We strayed from our typical go tos to give this Chinese / Vietnamese spot a shot and it didn’t disappoint. Food was good. The service was prompt. Restaurant is situated in the downtown area of Wheaton which I thought was a cute area. Highlight for me would be the beef pho. Broth was delicious. Meat quality was good and served with all the fresh toppings and sauces (hoisin & sriracha) you’d expect to adjust to your taste. The lemongrass pork appetizer was nice to start with. The fried rice my son throughly enjoyed. The duck noodle soup was okay. The pan fried seafood noodles were average and not much noodles to be honest. Anyways I’d probably come back for the pho as there aren’t many Vietnamese options around here. Til next time, cheers!
