Read moreMy 17 year old son had his computer fixed with Mr Fix. I authorized the repair. When I received the credit card bill there was a $71.69 tip added. I called and said this was not authorized. They said your son signed for it. I explained that this had been done in error. I have never paid for a computer repair and then had to give a tip. It’s never even been an option. Rather than correcting the error. The owner went on to explain that he’s not a millionaire. He works 7 days a week. He told me that I needed to deal with my son. I explained that if a tip was done, it was an error. I’ve never been given an option to tip purchasing a service at a store or buying a product. I was then told that they were not disputing. When I called my credit card company they told me he disputed it. They told me I need documentation that he wasn’t disputing it. When I call, he says he will do nothing for me and if I call him anymore, it will be harassment. He now says he deserves the tip. He had my son go to Lowes to get parts he didn’t use. I appreciate the repair. My son is appreciative, but this was a percentage that was put on your square. Any other Mr Fix would have refunded the tip. It’s something done in error quite frequently. I am a former waitress, and this is an insult to individuals that make two dollars an hour and live off of tips. You are the owner and it is customary that you do not take tips. This is a service that you provide in your store. Why would someone tip you? You say, I am taking money from you. I am fully prepared and have paid for the repair. I brought it here to Mr. Fix and the owner took one look at my laptop and was able to tell me that my battery was actually bloated and on the verge of combusting, and it was a hazard for me to continue using it (something Best Buy never bothered to mention after looking at it). He ordered a new fan, new battery, installed them himself and my laptop runs like new again, it is wonderful. He was so kind and accommodating, prioritized my laptop free of charge because I am a student, and the whole repair was pretty cheap too.
