My kids love it here, they never get bored. We've been there when they open until they close. They are 5 and 3 and have been going since birth. Everything is interactiv, everything! The different large scale building sets are fun, even for dad. Haven'tchance to use the new mini golf yet, bit it looks nice. Noticed a few new things today, 4-2-2018. They added a touch portion to the aquarium, where there was a chocolate chip starfish on display. The green screen musical dress up has changed to a Blue Rocks pitching bullpen with real speed measurements.

You're allowed to bring in food to eat inside, they provide a few tables and chairs. There is an area to store coats and a bunch of lockers too. They also have multiple family restrooms and a private nursing area with a rocking chair and stuff for a second child to do in there.

All in all it's great. Only downside is, since it caters to kids, things get alot of wear and tear. Everytime we've gone something is not working. There's supposed to be wind to move boats around on the water, not working. Some pieces of the building sets are missing. Personally I would be okay paying higher admission IF it went towards keeping everything thing in good working order. But hey, kids are rough on stuff so it's always a game...

I have mixed feelings about this museum. Even for Delaware, this just seemed a little small. This seems like a great time for kids 3-6 because any younger, and they won't be able to participate (but so much). If you have older kids, they may get bored faster or spend most of their time in one location.

We visited with my one-year-old, and he enjoyed his time there but I had to keep moving him to another area because the older kids (from camp) were darting back and forth.

I appreciated that we were able to enter for free with our discount, but the parking is a major frustration. There is a giant parking lot for less than five restaurants in less than five steps across from the museum.

However, the Delaware museum is two blocks away. With small kids walking that distance with “city” drivers, I'm shocked since this is a real safety concern. There were other parents who parked across the street, but I didn't want to chance getting a ticket so we parked “as instructed.”

If you have small kids, bring your stroller and prepare to walk two blocks. And be mindful of drivers as we were almost hit by one who disregarded the walk sign and cut us off in the middle...
