I cannot express with words the extreme satisfaction I have had working with Mr Phix over the past two weeks. The employees and their expertise with technology is beyond top notchâŚ.. My phone was ran over (multiple times) after having left it on the back of my car and carelessly driving off unknowing of what I had done. Something such as this, many of us think will never happen. However not one of us are immune to such a human mishap. Having never backed up my phone and thinking time and time again âthis could never happenâ, I was at a loss. A total emotional and physical loss. Not because my phone needed to be repaired or Iâd have an outlandish bill but because every text, voicemail, picture, memory, and words I spoke at the memorial of my late brother (who I had recently and tragically lost) was within this phone. My relationship with my phone was beyond anything else in my life simply because it kept and keeps part of him alive and with me. As you can tell repairing this crushed, destroyed, bent, shattered phone was very important to myself and my surviving family. Having arrived at their office one Friday afternoon while a freakish hail storm ran upon the city, I sat and pleaded my heart out for the importance of this phone. It was at this time the staff took me in as well as my phone and got to work. They were thorough, followed up with me with calls and emails, sent my phone to an amazing specialist in Texas, guaranteed their work and made my dreams come true. My phone was saved. The data was saved. My brothers memories remain in my pocket only a touch away. Part of him is still with me because Mr Phix repaired everything and delivered uncompetitive professionalism, customer service, and overall work. I will forever be indebted to this company and their staff. I have already started my Mr Phix campaign. Without this team I would have lost a lot more than a device. Comfort from my device of such an amazing man, gone too soon, would be lost as well. During such a time as COVID and how our world is negatively suffering today, Mr Phix gave me a glimpse of the good in people and the hard work many do behind the scenes to keep us other folk functioning, technologically and emotionally when regarding our damaged devices/gear. They are the best. Mr Phix from my family and self to you all, THANK YOU. You guys...
Read moreI dropped my phone and had to go to Mr. Phix Repair for a new screen. Before I went in, I tested my charger to see if I could still charge my phone, and even though it wouldnât turn on, it still showed the little battery icon signaling that it was charging and that my charger was working. I brought my phone in, they fixed the screen overnight, and the next day I went in and picked up my phone. An employee also told me that he had cleaned out my charging port and that my phone was âgood to goâ. However, when I went home and tried charging my phone later that day, it wouldnât charge. I went back in and they told me that my battery needed to be replaced. I wanted to know why that hadnât been addressed on the first day when they had done a full diagnostic of my phone, but I paid for a new battery and left. I went home and my phone still wouldnât charge. I came in, now for a third time, and told them I was upset that my phone still wasnât working. The manager told me to calm down. They told me my charging port needed to be replaced and that I needed to pay them for a new one. At this point, I felt like I was being scammed and told them that my phone was charging just fine before I brought my phone in but after they âfixed itâ, it suddenly wouldnât charge anymore. Each time I left their store, I was leaving with a new problem. I wasn't about to pay a third time to have them âfixâ my phone so I said I was leaving. In front of several other customers in the store, the manager then argued with me, interrupted me several times, and told me that he had been doing me favors this entire time. I told him I was very uncomfortable and wanted to leave with my phone. It wasnât until ten minutes later that they gave me my phone back and allowed me to leave. My experience at Mr. Phix Repair was incredibly poor, and I did not feel valued as a customer at all. I would not recommend going there to get your...
Read moreTourists beware. Took my phone to Mr Phil for screen that had cracked to get repaired while we were vacationing in Carolina Beach. They were friendly and repaired it quickly ($225). Had to return the next day to get it redone because it was mindlessly scrolling and bottom of screen wasnât working right. Again, friendly and repaired it quickly. After this repair it worked fine except for the bottom camera and flashlight buttons on home screen would not function at all but at this point I just decided it wasnât a big deal. The big problem arose when I got home from our trip (4 hours away). The top and side of screen turned purple and navy blue until the entire screen had turned and eventually went black. Called and they offered to pay to have it shipped, but with small kids I cannot go without my phone(we do not have landline). I requested a partial refund, offered to send videos/photos of the phone or even have the local phone store call them to explain and they said that was against protocol (I understand). However, I took it to my local phone repair store and he said the water seal was not replaced when they switched out the screen, which led me to believe the screen having glitches wasnât coincidence after all. My local store fixed for $150. If you are local and can bring it back to continue to get it fixed under warranty, no problem. Otherwise, I would take your...
