Opera Delaware Studios — Attraction in Wilmington

I first saw Emily at an OD program at at restaurant in Milford, DE. I lingered to compliment her and ask about her next gig. She was so personable. In October of 2024 I had the good fortune to be a nonsinging waiter in OD and BO’s production of LA BOHEM and found Emily playing Musetta! We had a few on stage moments together during her fantastic restaurant scene in Act 2. I was excited to see her scheduled for cross over music from 20th century musical theatre and pop composers. Not every opera singer can manipulate their voice to sound natural in those genres. But Emily did it for 2 hours. There is so much I loved about taking my daughter to see the opera for the first time. The sets and the talent were brilliant and I immediately thought they should be charging more for tickets, BUT that's also what I loved about the experience, how accessible it was for everyone, and how diverse the attendees were. Fascinating Rhythm, the performance by Emily Margevich and Joe Holt, was amazing! Emily's dynamic personality, beautiful voice and heartfelt delivery of classic songs was incredible. And Joe's beautiful piano playing rounded it all out, plus he made a great "sidekick" to Emily's witty humor. :) And it all took place in a very welcoming and comfortable Opera Delaware Studios.
