Pachamama Rotisserie Chicken — Restaurant in Wilmington

Very disappointed and dissatisfied. We ordered papa a la huancaina as an appetizer, it's potatoes topped with a yellow sauce, half an egg or an egg sliced in halves and purple olives. The potatoes were hard, undercooked and the portion was so small. There was about half a potato. The normal portion size for this appetizer is about 3 potatoes. I ordered lomo saltado which should have been sauteed onions and tomatoes on a bed of fries with rice on the side. What I received was a measley portion of rice with steak and fries served as sides. The rice was cold and hard, tasted like the rice that gets stuck to the bottom of the pot when cooked. Normally I don't mind it and actually like it but not with a meal from a place where I'm buying the meal from! The steak was very tasty and the fries were ok but the portion way too small. To top it off, all the food I was served came from a buffet style table! My husband ordered chaufa which is peruvian style chinese food. He was pleased with his meal. The portion was adequate. We bought 3 orders of empanadas to go, each order has 2 empanadas. The empanadas were small enough to fit in a small clear container used by restaurants when you get pie to go. The cost? $6 for each order. The chicha we ordered was delicious and worth the price. Would we eat here again? Nope! The $57 we paid was excessive for this meal. We don't mind paying for a good meal that's delicius and satisfying but this was not. Did we complain about the food? Update below:The food was good. I picked a few items to try. I had the plantains, guacamole, and chicken empanadas. Everything was fairly good. The empanadas were not like the traditional ones I normally get, but I would try them again. The one disappointment is the guacamole did not come with tortilla chips.

Update 5-27-23 I downgrade from a 4 to a 2.

I came back because I enjoyed the food the last time and my companion did as well.

The people manning the location were different and so was the service. The young woman that took the order wasn't the friendliest. As I was about to order she took a call that lasted over ten minutes. We went to order from another counter for the children. I came back and still waited 3 mins or so. She told it was the manager as if that excused the long wait. Unfortunately, my companion order stir fry and it did not taste as if it was made with soy sauce. When she went back to ask for more soy sauce, she was told they didn't have any. The price was $14 and I believe they should have accommodated her with more if asked. If they didn't have it then they should have disclosed prior to ordering the dish. It clearly states on the menu it is made...

On a whim, wife and I decided to stop in. We were on way to cafe gelato, but as we walked past changed our mind. Able to sit outside with social distancing. Started with chicken soup for her and I had seafood cervechi. Both were delicious! My cervechi had fish, scallops, shrimp, calamari (fried and raw) with vegetables and a spicy broth with a wonderful after bite! Be both ordered Tuesday special, 1/2 price burrito. Her beef, me chicken. Both came with side if fries. Both were huge, we each could only eat half. Not your typical burrito but delicious non the less. Highly recommend and look forward to trying...
