Everyone from doorman to DJ does their part to keep gay guests safe and to inform new guests and the occasional female visitor of appropriate gay strip club etiquette such as no screeching, woo-hoo's, or cat calls at the dancers. After moving here from Michigan Two years ago because I fell backwards on the Ice and I got a Brain Bleed and I was in the SICU at Beaumont Hospital for 2 months and I wanted to move to some where with no snow and Ice and I wanted to move to a gay Friendly town. I have had 11 more Surgeries and I am doing Better and I wanted to go somewhere exciting and with enjoyment and Fun. I asked my Gay Real Estate Agent about going some places and he told me that Johnsons was the best place for him and me to go and we went while my Caregiver and Partner since 1992 was gone to a Family event and I am not driving. He picked me up and it was a Wonderful Time Shared. I do not drink Alcoholic Beverages and the Nice Young Waiter gave me a glass of ice Water. Researched where to go for fun in fort lauderdale and found Johnsons. We were excited to go and see some beautiful ladies,nice makeup and over the top performances. However our dream plan was crushed by the "bouncers" at the door. We were denied entry because we were women. Yes WOMEN. We were told we needed to be accompanied by 3 other men to get inside.
