Boardwalk Community Park in Windsor is one of our favorite spots to visit. The old buildings and the train depot are a lot of fun to look at, giving a charming historical vibe that you donāt find in many places. The kids absolutely love climbing on the trainsāitās always a highlight of our trips.
The playground is fantastic, offering plenty of equipment to keep the little ones entertained. Thereās also a huge open green space perfect for running around, flying kites, or just spreading out a blanket for a picnic. We always find it to be a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some family time.
Windsor Lake, which the park surrounds, adds another layer of fun with options for fishing and boating. The trail around the lake is great for a nice walk or bike ride, offering beautiful views all year round. Whether we're strolling by the water or watching the kids play, the park always feels inviting and well-maintained.
One of the best parts about Boardwalk Community Park is the blend of activities and scenery. The historical features like the old train depot and buildings are fascinating, and they add a unique touch to our visits. Plus, the playground and open spaces make it an ideal place for family outings. We always have a great time here and look forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery nice park! There is a small lake with a nice swim beach that has plenty of space. Lots of open field to throw a ball around or play a game. 99% of the grass is green and well kept. I didn't notice any dirt patches throughout the entire park. There's also sand pits for volleyball that looked to be well taken care of. There are a few gazebos or sheltered areas with tables. I believe you can call and place a reservation or rent a covered picnic area. I think I remember seeing public restrooms as well. If not there a many places close by that do have restrooms. Only downside is parking. There's a fair amount of parking spaces but fills up fast so may have a little bit of a walk. Overall a great place for any size group. Definitely worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe entire park is nice, but the dog portion is en epic fail. Pathetic list of rules. Very poor for large dogs like a lab. Lots of rules such as only spade or neutered (which should not be done until a dog is over 1 year old, for development), our granddaughter cannot visit there for years (kids have to be older), extremely small area. If you have a young, breedable dog, don't even bother. No socialization for the puppies here. Save yourself time and hear north to the outstanding Wellington dog park, or even Horsetooth or Loveland. We won't...
