We lived near Windsor until 2015 and I shopped at Memory Lane often. It's where we found our wonderful breakfast table, curio cabinet, and mudroom bench. Since our move, I've been searching for a dining room table without success. I was feeling lonesome for Windsor, wishing I could just get in my car and run over to Memory Lane and ask Dan to help me find the table I have in mind. When we were looking for a breakfast table, Dan didn't have something 'on the floor', but I told him what I wanted and he showed me numerous options which weren't yet refinished/prepared. We were absolutely THRILLED with the table he sold us and remain so, several years on. (I snapped a quick photo and didn't get too close because I just cleared it off hastily so I could share an example.) This store is an amazing, wonderful place. It's not a junk store/flea market (as many places holding themselves out to be antique stores are), the items here are BEAUTIFULLY and very masterfully restored. I believe they are perfectionists there at Memory Lane. I miss them, can you tell? LOL Check...
Read moreI have shopped Memory Lane Antiques for many years. Quaint shop in downtown Windsor, Colorado. Dan scours the country looking for unusual antiques which he repairs and restores. I have purchased multiple pieces of beautiful one-of a kind furniture and have enjoyed them all. Pricey, but the quality of the workmanship is worth every dollar! I have also had several antique pieces repaired and refinished there and the work was perfect. (Expect to leave them there for as much as a year.) There are times of the year when the furniture stock is low because it takes a lot of time to do the refinishing before the furniture is ready to sell And, occasionally, some of the stock is taken to area antique shows, so you might want to call ahead about their current inventory. You may have to drop in more than once to see the wonderful antiques they sell. There is also a lovely inventory of decorator items, especially wonderful at the holidays. This shop is one of a kind, and worth the 10 minute detour...
Read moreI took a 120 year old dresser mirror to Memory Lane to be resilvered. When I went to pick it up I was told the noticeable splotches on it were to be expected for such old glass. Although I was disappointed because the resilvering was not cheap, I just thought I was going to have to live with it that way. Out of the blue, about a month later, Dan the owner called and asked if I could bring the mirror back in because he had found a chemical that would eliminate the splotches. He would have to remove the silver he had applied and apply new. I got the mirror to him that day and a day or two later I picked up the mirror and it was perfect! Really appreciate Dan taking the initiative to correct...
