Visited during a short trip to downtown Windsor. It came up in our search as having healthy breakfast options. It didn't dissapointed on that part. They did have some alternative breakfast options when compared to a large traditional breakfast. We were looking for something light that morning. They offer some interesting avocado toast flavor pairings, and for the most part, we were happy with the freshness of the food. It was lacking in flavor. A little salt or brightness from a little lemon would go a long way. Overall, the food was ok. The coffee was good. I thought it was a little on the stronger side. They do have sweet pastries and breakfast sandwiches if you're looking for something sweeter or more filling. The staff was beyond nice and helpful. There was plenty of seating when we visited. Shine Café has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Windsor, and their Matcha Superfood Smoothie is easily top tier. The blend of matcha, greens, banana, and a touch of honey is perfectly balanced—smooth, creamy, and refreshing without being overly sweet. The food I’ve tried has been mediocre at best. I had a sandwich and the bread was stiff and thick. The flavors didn’t combine very well and there was bad portioning. Way too much lettuce and meat. For such a simple sandwich, it took over ten minutes to get. The menus are a disaster, there are way too many options and the layout is confusing/cluttered.
