The food was very disappointing. We enjoy traditional Mexican comfort food--Vecinos in Severance is great for that. I ordered the taco & enchilada lunch special. The ground beef did not taste like ground beef, it was overly spiced and sweet. The cheese & onion enchilada was also subpar. The onions were overcooked and mushy. The cheese tasted like mild cheddar. There was very little enchilada sauce making the enchilada a little dry. The rice was flavorless but the texture was good. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the refried beans--perfect texture and flavor. I mixed my beans & rice together and that made the rice edible. They have a very limited a la carte menu, tostadas are only available as part of a meal according to our waitress. The burritos only come with Cancun's "burrito sauce". Actual green chili is a $2.25 upcharge and it was not traditional green chili. They add tomatillos to their green chili making it very sour tasting. The cheese dip is canned white cheese with some canned chopped green chilis added. It was apparent that the canned chilis were not rinsed first as the dip tasted like citric acid. This was definitely a "one and done" experience, won't...
Read moreMy wife and I placed a dinner order for pickup. After ordering online, I received an email confirmation that stated my order would be ready for pickup in 10 minutes. I gave them about 20 minutes as that seemed pretty quick. When I arrived, I was told that they had “forgotten to put it in” and that it would be about 10 minutes.. I ordered a $10 marg at the bar. Instant heartburn from the cheap mixed drink that came out of a large, unchilled dispenser on the bar top that had clearly been there for days. I waited about 25 minutes at the bar for my order, only to go home and find the following:
The taco dinner was missing the rice, beans, and cheese on the tacos. Half of the meal…
Our Chorizo queso blanco was so cold, it was actually solid cheese. It was not a dip at all. I’m cooking it on the stove top now.
My wife’s fajitas dinner is cold. Again, reheating the entire dish.
I have never reviewed a restaurant on Google. Usually just move on and give them another shot. This experience however, will be the last time we dine with this...
Read moreWe happened to be up in Windsor for a soccer game and swung by to grab a quick bite before heading down.
We were seated right away. I absolutely love the atmosphere as we walked in. The interior is very colorful with multiple TV'S throughout the bar and restaurant playing Sunday football.
As we were looking over our menu, our waiter came over with their homemade chips and salsa. I honestly couldn't stop eating them. They were delicious. Not too greasy and the perfect amount of crunch. The salsa itself was the right amount of spice.
We ordered off the lunch specials which they have everyday before 3. Everything came out fast which we really appreciated since we were in a hurry to drive back down to Denver.
The food itself was delicious! And it a giant plate where majority of us took half of it home which was nice because we ate it for dinner.
If you're in the Windsor area, I highly recommend stopping by to...
