Carolina University — Attraction in Winston-Salem

Avoid this college at all costs!!! While they state they are a “Christian College” the truth is they are anything but a Christian College. The morals held by some of the administration and staff are deplorable at best. The policies set forth by this college are not at all followed by the staff or administration! The facilities are subpar having poorly maintained dorm rooms, a weight room for athletes that is laughable. Although they recruit for athletes they have no actual practice fields owned by the school for baseball, softball, or soccer. This college is not worth what they are charging for tuition as most of their classes do not transfer. Finally, the area in which this school is located is not at all safe. When we visited our child we had a drunk man wander up to our car which was parked right in front of the dorms asking for money. Please do your research before attending this...

There are some great folks in the seminary, but the rest of the faculty has been mostly gutted and replaced with faculty with little/no teaching experience and a disconnect from the university's old mission of training Christian leaders. The way the current administration treated its faculty and staff over the last couple of years has been disgraceful. What made this school special and unique has been replaced with a business/money-making emphasis. If you want a Christian college, you need to find another (try SEBTS in NC or NGS in SC). If you want to study business or law enforcement or whatever other programs they're quickly trying to create, then go elsewhere and get it cheaper and...

I absolutely despise this school. When talking to staff I felt that it would be a good fit. I had only a couple good teachers who were there to actually TEACH me and HELP me through my classes. If I asked questions or didn't understand an assignment teachers made me feel stupid which made it hard to get assignments done correctly. This is not a "Christian" school.
