I donât know if there is a place that encompasses so much of what I love about Winston-Salem. On any given day of the week, you can come here for coffee, beer, or wine. But the best is when you see local business owners, friendsâhuman and furry, sunrises and sunsets, local music, food trucks, art festivals, supper clubs, and even catered seated dinners. The versatility of this space is what draws me back here again and again.
My children love the âbackyardâ for watching the chickens and I love the cortados or iced coffee. Plus because of their broad opening hours, itâs a great place to meet friends for a coffee in the AM or a drink after work, have a date night, or pack a picnic dinner for the family and have a bottle of wine while the kids play. My 5yo daughter loves this place so much she had her birthday here! (Side note: they have a fantastic selection of wine by the bottle or by the glass thanks to their excellent sommelier!) Recently, WSPH went through some changes and the new manager Jenna is doing a fantastic job with her coffee menu but also offering delicious snack options. đđ» To conclude my love letter to WSPH, this place holds a special place in my heart and I go back weekly inspite of living 15...

The place has beautifully polished wood floors, neat bathrooms that aren't odorous. The place doesn't smell of stale beer, urine or cigarette smoke.
There was, for me, a satisfactory selection of beer and wine. I actually found a beer on tap that I LIKED -- some sort of cider beer.
No, I'm not much of a beer drinker -- just meeting a friend to chat in a convivial atmosphere. It's...

Jenna is amazing- she makes an amazing oat milk latte, and remembers my name! :) The backyard is so welcoming and beautiful (and fenced in- which is so helpful with a fearless toddler). The addition of heaters outside means that the backyard is wonderful year round! Whether I'm there during the work day to catch up on some emails and drink great Hatchet coffee, to meet a friend for coffee or an evening drink, or just to have a friendly place to get out of the house for a bit, the WSPH is the place to go! Easy parking is...
