Thruway Shopping Center — Attraction in Winston-Salem

Too much congested traffic and several stores aren't customer-friendly if you don't, "Look the part..." Exactly who do they think they are!!?? Who dresses up to shop now!!?? Really!!?? Who do you think you're trying to impress in your mediocre stores? You definitely need to stop thinking that you aren't watching them when you know that you are. Stop being so hypocritical!!!! These stores know to whom I am referring. Don't judge a prospective customer if he or she doesn't dress "appropriately" enough to be in your so-called fashionable stores to shop. They may be surprisingly wealthy enough to buy your store, "four times over" its value, so be extremely careful how you treat your customers!! In other words: "Don't judge a book by its cover." Most of you who work in these stores can't afford to shop there either. Please know that I am not a disgruntled customer; I am an observant customer, as well as other customers who want to be treated fairly in ALL of the stores in this shopping center. One final note to the owner of this shopping center: I did address the employees in some of the stores on why they treat some customers differently if they don't look appropriate enough to shop there. I was neither threatening nor verbally abusing the employees with my comments. Of course, most denied their actions, while others acted as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Only two, yes only two different store employees were apologetic and one employee at one of the stores agreed that everyone should be treated fairly when shopping, regardless of where a person shops. Disappointed in New Balance. There was waiting line. One lady left to shop other places as it was my turn she came back in and they let her go in front of me because she had been there earlier!! Then all the other employees were giving a discount..I hear one customer say she forgot coupon and every employee said no problem I will give it to you. Other was told by employee she would apply the coupon and he didn't even know about it. but the one who helped me would not give it even though I asked. The other employees asked customer to walk & let them see how foot turned as well as a number of things the employee who helped me did not do. I doubt I will EVEN go in there again. Very disappointed. Had bought baseball cleats a few weeks before .. different employee different...

This was my first time ever visiting this shopping center and I was very impressed by how gorgeous it was inside and out. I didn’t have time to shop or look around a whole lot because I was just there to meet with my lawyer and sign papers but I definitely want to come back and do a little shopping in boutique and try out the coffee shop when I have more time. It was easy to find, had plenty of parking space right out front and the environment was just so nice and peaceful. I just think when you’re shopping or doing business in an area that is beautifully built and well maintained makes the whole experience feel so much more enjoyable. The people I spoke to in the elevator were just as nice and I wish there would more buildings like this...
