Iâve really tried to like this place. Iâve been here 5 or 6 times. The first time was amazing, so I came back. Each time following that has been disappointing. I always have an appointment, and I always have to wait minimum of 15 minutes. Last time it was 40 minutes, and they were taking walk-ins ahead of me. I asked how long it would be, and they realized they forgot about me. My service was rushed and I wasnât given a discount. I will say, the service for that appointment (dip manicure) was amazing and held up for 3.5 weeks before it was too grown out for my liking. I went back one last time for a pedicure to see if things had gotten better, and they had not. My nail tech (it says Hannah N on my receipt but she never told me her name) tried to push me into getting gel, saying my nails wonât be shiny and nice like hers if I donât get it. She didnât ask if I wanted my nails shortened, didnât clean under the nails, and didnât even remove all of my old polish. She spent more time texting on her watch and talking to someone on it than talking to me. The massage was just her rubbing oil onto my skin. I almost never write bad reviews but itâs been consistently disappointing. Iâve finally learned my lesson and will go somewhere else in the future.
Update: before leaving, I spoke with one of the owners (the husband) and expressed my disappointment. Once my toes were done in the dryer, the shoddy work was obvious. There were spots with no polish. The edges were thick with polish. No sealing on the ends of the nails. It did not look professional at all. And my toenail lengths were not only way too short but uneven. He proceeded to tell me itâs because of my nail shape and that people always want them short. I told him she didnât even ask me, and he said I should have spoken up before she cut them. She cut them immediately after removing the polish and did it fast, so even if I had said something, it would have already been too late. They offered to fix it same day (still with Hannah) but I didnât have time. He said theyâd reschedule me for a nail fix for no charge and give me a new tech. He continued to deflect any responsibility on the salon or the tech and said itâs because of my nails and my feet. Iâve never had issues doing them myself or going somewhere else. He said heâd give me a discount for any follow-up service, but I told him I likely will not come back after the fix (depending on how the fix goes). I plan on tipping the new person since it isnât their fault but itâs really bad practice to blame your clients for your poor work. Iâll update this again after the nail fix.
Final update: I brought it down to 1 star. Two of my toenails became infected and I wasn't able to keep the appointment to fix the pedicure. When I called to let them know, I was told I wouldn't be able to get it fixed later. I'm just not going to bother with this salon anymore; it's not worth it. Hopefully my nails grow out soon so I can get another pedicure before...
Read morethis is the worst nail salon I have been to - I have been getting my nails done my entire life and regularly for over half a decade. With that being said, I get them done a lot, so I am not that picky as I will be changing them soon. However, this incident was AWFUL! I went in needing a fill as itâs been almost 4 weeks. I am new to the area and trying to find a place. I asked him to make them the length before grow out, but instead he cut them incredibly short because he didn't ask the shape I wanted previous to chopping. He said he wanted to do a full set to fix it and I told him I didn't have time and there was nothing he could do at this point, he had just cut off my real nails and the acrylic overlay. He said he was going to fix them so they were wearable now and I could come back and he would fix them. I appreciated the gesture but didnât want free nails. I just wanted them done and to be on my way. The owner then somehow got on the phone and started yelling at the tech on speakerphone about the incident loudly with multiple customer sitting around not in English at first but then started to not knowing she was on speaker phone saying âtell her she asked for them short and you cut them shortâ, which wasnât true. So not only do my nails look like absolute garbage, but I was shamed on speaker phone after telling him I just wanted to finish my nails and pay. I will never go there again and I encourage you to find another salon. I have attached a picture of what my nails looked like before going in (red long nail) vs the yellow short misshaped non symmetrical blob I left with. I havenât left a review in 20 yrs bc I find them to be nonsense but this was one of the worst incidents I have ever had...
Read moreThe service here was seriously underwhelming. We booked three services for two people: one hot stone pedicure and basic manicure for one person, and a simple gel polish change for the other. From the start, they were confusedâthinking we booked two pedicures. We corrected them, and the check-in form reflected the right services, but they still forgot the basic manicure until we reminded them near the end.
The hot stone pedicure was supposed to include a warm neck pillow and total service is advertised as 40 minutes. It lasted maybe 20, there was no neck pillow, the massage felt rushed, and the stones werenât even hot (relative, I know). The basic manicure didnât include the buff and shine we specifically asked for. The whole thing felt like they were just trying to get us in and out.
The worst part was the pricing. Their website lists a gel polish change at $32, but we were charged $49. Thatâs the price of a full gel manicureâwhich we never received. No nail trim, no cuticle work, just the polish change. When we questioned the price, they told my wife âitâs always a manicure,â even though none of the typical manicure steps were done. On top of that, they forced a $4 soak-off feeâwhich is required to do a gel polish change in the first place. So we paid $49 for something that shouldâve been $32, and didnât even get the service they claimed we were being charged for.
We didnât get what we paid for, and the quality of what we did get wasnât great either. Rushed service, missing details, and pricing that doesnât match whatâs advertised. Definitely not...
