What a fantastic and beautiful space to hold a baby shower for a small group (who dislike playing baby shower games)! Working with Jamie was wonderful and she made the planning process very easy. It's such a great deal because you get a private space to hold your party (which is filled with beautiful art), you can bring your own food (fridge/freezer available if needed), drinks, decor, music to hook up to the provided Bluetooth speaker, and the best part is you don't have to worry about entertaining your guests because Jamie will provide a fun and personalized art activity! For our group, Jamie guided us through a group painting session where we all painted separate areas on one large canvas (one person at a time), and we all got to paint our own individual small canvas. I came to Picket Fence Art Studio knowing virtually nothing about painting, and almost a year later I can honestly say that my weekly sessions with Jamie are my favorite event on my calendar. Jamie is supportive, kind, creative, and encouraging. She clearly puts so much energy and love into the classes she organizes, and I recommend them to anyone who expresses an interest in painting or art. Picket Fence Art Studio is absolutely fantastic! Great classes, and so many different mediums; oil, watercolor, ceramics, encaustics, embroidery, and so many more. I started taking classes in oil painting a little over a year ago and can’t say enough good things about Jamie’s teaching. She’s also brought in amazing artists from all around the country to teach weekend workshops. The other students are friendly and encouraging as well. It’s a lovely space.
