I love this park. It's well kept and has great walking paths, equipment and landscaped well. If you truly support our troops, then tell them the truth!!! There is a nice memorial set up to honor the names of the local soldiers that were beguiled into invading foreign nations under false pretenses. Apart from the fact that memorial parks are designed to incite emotional feelings of respect to a wicked nation that has forsaken the Lord and is governed by corrupt politicians that sends it's citizens into foreign nations on a global conquest of resources, under the false pretence of "defending freedom " all the while stripping us of our liberties, this is a very nice park.
9/11 Was a crime carried out by western intelligence agencies. Do not be deceived, the purposes were for global domination. Critically look at the facts. We are being lied to on a global scale. Investigate World Trade Center Building 7. The twin towers, alone had over a half a million TONS of structural steel holding them up. Even IF jet fuel COULD burn hot enough to melt structural steel under the most optimum conditions (it does not), in the initial jet impact, most of the fuel exploded. The billowing smoke was black and gray, indicating an oxygen deprived fire. They put Johnny in a uniform and told him to kill the citizens of foreign nations that were defending thier own sovereignty from the allied invaders. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have been murdered by allied forces. Jesus said "Take heed unto yourselves that ye be not deceived."
The park is nice 😐 ...the nation??? Not so. They drop "humanitarian love bombs " that take life. I drop truth bombs that cause cognitive dissonance, hoping to deliver some from the...
Read moreWent for the 4th of July festivities there. Was very disheartened by the behavior of a band of teenagers who obviously weren't satisfied with the type of fun that everyone ELSE was having and decided to unleash their own definition of what fun is. A group of approx.12 young men and ladies, a couple who were unnecessarily carrying backpacks elected to throw firecrackers and M-80's in the vicinity of innocent children and senior citizens in one section of the park and run. When a victim expressed her displeasure, the mob decided that the victim's area would be their prime location to further brandish their "not so fun" brand of fun. The agitated youngsters returned and threw more M-80's into that area of frightened people and that's when things intensified. A physical altercation ensued? SHPD got involved, but unfortunately they were limited to what they could do to as the clever bunch of mischievous wrong doers reached for their cell phones to record video footage should things get climactic. Once the already disrespectful, disruptive bunch were free of fear that there would be no repercussions for their unruly act, they went berserk and unloaded what seemed like an entire war arsenal of gunpowder. The park sounded like a warzone thus ruining an otherwise...
Read moreVeterans Park is the biggest and best park in South Holland! It's multifaceted for all ages. Babies and toddlers have a play area all to themselves with swings, slides, teeter-totters, and more. Then, there's the play area for kids with multiple slides, a climbing wall, a climbing web, and swings. For the sports enthusiast there's a soccer area, a baseball field, and a concession stand. If you're health conscious there's a walking/jogging path for those who like to exercise with many benches scattered around for sitting. Finally, there's two beautiful gazebos in the park. One gazebo sits back towards the middle perimeter of the park with no seating. (I usually see people using it to do yoga) The other gazebo sits near the entrance of Veterans Park along the perimeter. This gazebo has seating to take in nature's breathtaking views, with a pond that shoots water up from it. There's plenty of free parking, a covered shelter area with picnic tables, and very clean bathrooms. Group picnics and grilling is permissible with a permit from the village. A great park...
