Been knocking off all the mini golf courses we can find on the Cape. Grandkids get to pick which one they want to do. This time it was the “Animal Mini Golf” so we headed out to the “Wild Animal Lagoon” Mini Golf in Yarmouth. It was busy but not too crowded. The young lady at the counter was pleasant and had fun with the grandkids. I noticed she was sanitizing clubs when they were returned at the end of each round. While the animals and surroundings aren’t up to the standard of say a Disney theme park, they were done well enough to enjoy. Only an adult would probably notice or care. Grandkids 8&6 thought the place was cool and loved everything about it. It amazes me how many different ways people think up to put the little white ball in the little hole. There were many takes on how the holes played out. Some I had never seen before. There was another twist on the game that I have also never seen before and that was at the beginning of about 6 holes there was a spinning wheel. You spin the wheel then have to play the hole when the arrow stops on a certain task. They are different on every wheel. Some are: “Roll the ball with your hand instead of putting”, Become an obstacle on the course to whoever you want to. Pick someone to swap scores with, Pick someone and subtract 1 from there score and on and on like that. It was a great twist to the game and my grandkids had a ball with it. I highly recommend adding the “Wild Animal Lagoon” Mini Golf to your list of courses you should play...
Read moreI will preface this by saying that any putt putt experience is a good putt putt experience, but some are way better than others.
I arrived at Wild Lagoon with my family on the 4th of July, eager to play a round amongst the wild safari. The course wasn't crowded for the holiday and the props around the property made it seem like we were in for a treat.
We in fact, were not. The course is as basic as they come, each hole is just a putting green with a hole (Most of the holes aren't flush with the ground, making it difficult to land your putt).
An plethora of jungle animals are placed around the course, I think only one hole actually had an obstacle to avoid, the last hole. A giraffe stands over the hole, mocking you for spending 9 dollars on a terrible course.
Like I said earlier, we ended up having a good time as anyone would competing in putting, but we left sad at how poor the course is.
Moral of this review, if you don't want to wait to putt at a crowded course, come here to avoid the crowd. Just don't expect much creativity from the course, it's as basic...

We have been visiting Wild Animal Lagoon regularly since 2014 and always considered it a fun and family-friendly place. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was shockingly disappointing.
We were there with our kids and parents, ready to enjoy another afternoon and even in the process of paying with our card—when a staff member rudely asked us to “move for paying clients.” Not only was this incredibly disrespectful, but it also felt discriminatory. We were in line, behaving respectfully, and actively trying to pay like everyone else.
After years of bringing family and friends to this place, we left without staying due to how we were treated. It’s disheartening to see a place we once loved show such rudeness and disregard, especially toward families and loyal customers. Sadly, we will not be returning and can no longer recommend...
