Update: you are being very dishonest in your response. My walker got stuck on the door re-entering and my finger got cut. I never once threw my walker at your employee like he said and your employee came at me aggressively when I re-entered immediately saying I threw my chair at him. You didn’t witness anything and when asked for you to review the footage you kicked me out and called the police.
I visited Timeline Arcade with my family just weeks after having a stem cell transplant. It was one of the only things I could think of doing because I cannot eat out, cannot walk far, cannot be around animals, and so much more. I was surprised to find out that everyone who enters has to pay an entry fee. It’s not for playing games. I didn’t plan to touch anything because of germs… I left frustrated but decided to come back in so my family could have some fun after me not being able to do things for so many years. My walker/wheelchair got caught, as well as my finger while entering the establishment. I picked it up from where it was jammed and set it inside the door. The gentleman at the counter then kicked me out because he said I threw my chair at him. I asked him to get the owner. The owner said he sides with employees no matter what. I asked and then insisted he watch the video footage. Instead, he kicked me out and called the police on me. Yes, a bald, weak woman with a walker that the employee insists was thrown at him when he was on the other side of the counter. A business owner who always sides with employees, even when they have actual video footage and won’t watch it, is a joke. Thank you for being an establishment to ruin our families time instead of one where we can enjoy.
I also have to now get additional antibiotics for the cut on my finger from their dirty door. The place is filthy.
It saddens me to see other complaints from those with disabilities. This establishment clearly doesn’t have experience working with those who struggle daily. I hope the cruel staff and owner are blessed with a happy and healthy life and never have to experience...
Read moreI've been here twice now. Once with my two young children both under 10 and another time with just my wife.
The first time I was here was with my children. This place does a pay per hour ($10/hour) instead of a pay per play. All of the games are set on free play. This is great for young kids as you're not constantly shelling out quarters and dropping them or counting them out (think chuck e cheese). They have retro arcade games, pinball games, newer arcade games, new game console stations and even have retro game systems like NES and SNES set up with couches. My kids and I had a blast while we were there. We paid for 1 hour but quickly realized it wouldn't be enough because we were having so much fun. We stayed for 2 hours and paid the difference when we left. That being said... $10/hour for myself and 2 small children seemed a bit steep. If you take into account the amount of time I spent helping two young children it barely seemed worth $20 for myself. I think they should do a special for children under 10 or something. I think they would get more business from me and other families who can't afford $60 to $80 for 2 hours of play. Also, there is not much offering for food here so eat before you come or bring a small snack for the kiddos.
The second time I went was with my wife. The cool thing about where this place is located is that it's directly across from Holy Hound Tap Room. There is also an Isaac's that just went in right beside it. My wife and I went to Holy Hound and had a few drinks and some late dinner food on a Friday night. Afterwards we walked across the street to Timeline. We had a blast playing games. My wife is also a photographer who brought her camera. She loved getting retro style shots with the games and arcade ambience. We only stayed for 1 hour and the $10 each seemed fair and worth it.
Overall, this place is great and I'm happy to have found it. It was not busy either of the times I've been there. I think if they could work on their pricing and advertise a little they could draw in more families with younger children from...
Read moreOver the last several years we have made the trip up to Timeline numerous times from Baltimore and I'm sad to say we are probably not coming back up here, even with Marylands arcade situation in unknown turmoil with Spinners in Frederick being out of commission for a while now. Every time we visit, less and less games work properly to the point where today over half the game we approached just did not work for various reasons. I see the owners responses asking people to tell them that games aren't working properly, but with a wristband on that steadily counts your time down, reporting maintenance issues is not a good use of our time as customers, especially when it would require like two dozen visits to the front counter on our most recent visit to keep up with reporting bad machines. It isn't our responsibility to report bad equipment and I feel it is a tactic to kick the can down the road. Take a few hours and test your own games a few times a month and make the fixes, or else this place is going to go the way of all other arcades and go extinct. People will not return if they have this kind of experience at their first visit and we as repeat customers are giving up. I would have gladly paid twice the hourly rate to show up to functioning games. Fix...
