I came here to leave a review since grabbing an latte earlier today. I saw some other customer reviews about the Law enforcement flag in the window (there was a recent, tragic, incident in which local county police officers lost their lives, so it made sense) and was astounded by the negativity. There are few places I’ve come across in my adventures across the states, that make it a priority to make customers feel like family. To make new comers feel included, no matter race, religion, or sexual preference. I have yet to find a small town coffee shop that promotes human rights for ALL by posting event schedules, posters, business cards, booklets and pamphlets and resource information in the very nook in which they keep their prized and (seriously) delicious coffee pounds. In my recent visits, the baristas were kind and conversational, they were so willing to add and/or subtract things from my latte order (I’m a bit much, I must admit)- SO accommodating and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. True to their word, they did just that.
The Green Bean is the perfect spot to catch up with an old friend (the decor is modern, the artwork is local and the atmosphere is quaint) or to stop in for a quick coffee. Or muffin (the muffins are pretty amazing!).

Read moreA staple of downtown York, and a place that supports the community. The handful of one star reviews in Sept 2025 regarding this establishment’s support of our three fallen police officers are, as nicely as I can say, misguided. Who leaves a one star review for an establishment that is grieving with the rest of us? They do not deserve bashing over supporting our local police and the community as a whole in this trying time.
This coffee shop openly supports all with kind hearts in our community, and has always made myself and my friends, who are from a variety of backgrounds, feel extremely welcomed. I and my friends have never felt unsafe or unwelcomed here. Sending my love...
