V Marketplace — Attraction in Yountville

This used to be a must-hit with my friends whenever they came to town. I will start by mentioning Carlos is incredible and I found his service always impeccable and approachable.

However, I was invited to an evening taco night/holiday event in this site this December 22nd, and while enjoying the atmosphere, the manager (I assume) came not only up behind me, but used their hand to reach in my pocket. This was just after pouring me some wine.

Then pulled my hand out along with theirs. They wanted to be “sure I was not taking advantage of their kindness”.

Shocked, I left promptly, but will be sure others I know and now here, not everyone is welcome or treated the same apparently.

Cool place to visit. Small art gallery (Gallery 1870) inside with a very pleasant woman working there. Witty but subtle sense of humor. As you walk in the front door there is a wine store immediately to the left (may have been the V Wine Cellar). The two people working there were obviously distracted with each other to the point that they completely ignored my friend when he approached them about buying a case of wine. Felt like they were blowing him off more than being too engaged to take time to talk to him. Either way, it was pretty rude. My husband & I enjoy our getaways. One of our very favorite places is Inn at the Tides in Bodega Bay!! The Inn is situated on a gently sloping hill that gives each room or suite a beautiful view of the water. We always stay in a suite that has it's own private patio, cozy sitting area with a fireplace, a comfy king bed, large flat screen tv, remodeled bathroom, many extra amenities including room service, a spotless/spacious & beautifully decorated place to relax & create romantic memories!!!
