HERCULES PARK and splash pad — Attraction in Zephyrhills

Hercules Park is a perfect place to take the kids. Thank you to the city of Zephyrhills for adding such a fun and exciting space for families and friends of all ages to play! The playground area is covered in artificial turf and the slides range tall to small. Plenty of climbing areas and hills to roll or slide down. The splash pad area gives room for cooling off and chairs and benches for observing your littles play. There are covered ares with tables for eating or snacking and a path for those looking to enjoy a nice walk. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible for all. This playground has numerous climbing opportunities for older kids and the soft, squishy underlayment makes it safe for even very small children to confidently explore. The splash area is beautifully done, without the overhead, large splashes that tend to intimidate young children (there are a couple, for those wishing to be doused, but they're distanced on the outermost edges). Nature trails, a number of pavillions with picnic tables, and several large, grassy areas for play make this park wonderful for a variety of uses. There are large restrooms and a water bottle refill station with fountains available. Heard about this park renovation/recreation on a website, and decided we should check it out. They have done a very nice job. The playgrounds are top notch, the facilities like the washrooms are in a beautiful building with lots of stainless steel amenities. And the picnic tables and benches, which are liberally placed throughout, are durable and beautifully constructed out of materials pleasing to the eye. There is a nice walkway that you can take around the 11 acre park, that also goes around a storm water management pond that has interesting birds and reptiles.
