Place is fun to visit. One can have classy photos there as it gives a good perspective of the full city. Many expats from Brazil , Argentina are also visible there as it's a main tourist attraction. Once in a month or so the paint on the letters will be changed which always gives letters anew look and us a reason to visit again. It have some benches where one can sit and enjoy the cool breeze and exciting music that the waves carry. At evening many localites( Uruguay Nationals) comes there and play some music in their cars or speakers and enjoy the view. But while going there at night, be careful of your belongings as if you are an expat then homeless people can target you and ask for money. As an expat I prefer to go there in a group of friends at late night time.

Huge sign on the Rambla (beach). Surrounding it is the water on one side and the cityscape on the other. Great place to capture a moment of your visit and I’m glad we did. Climbing on the letters like I did with my family was so much fun, and I suggest you do it too if you’re able. My only regret is not being able to revisit it during the day so we could see our faces better. Regardless, I loved talking this picture of our visit and I’ll be sure to post another in daylight when I visit Uruguay again.

It is kind of okay place to me. If you are like me who visits a lot of other places, this would be place to where you want to record some of your memory for montevideo episode. It is not busy, I spent my afternoon in the windy beach. So it should be a go to place when you are first time in montevideo. It has a lot of other palces to eat, so it could easily spend the half day and the dinner in a fency restuaents of choice, would be a good deal.
